I read somewhere that they are the only two that actually had martial arts experience before the show started. Hawk trained karate and Robby did taekwondo and something else (not karate). I also read somewhere that they don't do actual karate training for the show, but it's more like dance training. That makes sense since they are really just doing choreography.
Whether or not this show reaches a level of greatness is if we have an Elizabeth Shue sighting.

Of course Cobra Kai cheats and uses ringers. They are probably over 18, too. No way Miyagi-do does this.
Someone posted earlier on this thread somewhere, but there is a youtube video breakdown of fight at the end o season 2 that is reealy good. It has the cast breaking down what was happening behind the scenes. It's definitely worth the watch.
Choreography in this season was really good. I guess what I mean by training, is that Robbie is putting on muscle. Robbie and Hawk also seem to be getting better with cooridination etc. Obviously when the characters are flipping around and spinning, that's a stunt double. Not to mention any no name who loses in the tournament is probably either an accomplished Southern Cal martial artist or stunt double.

The Terry Silver arch was better than I could have imagined. I don't even remember if I saw KK3, I just know the clips of him I have seen were over the top terrible. I was expecting him to be that bad here.

I think it was made a bit more realistic by Terry initially rejecting overtures, only to slowly fall back into it.
That and the 'I was coked out of my mind' when he was talking about his Cobra Kai days

I really thought they were gonna shut down CK due to the Stingray incident. But the fact that they used it to shut down Kreese (who was starting to become likeable) so some whack job could take over? Brilliant.

Apparently the actors have been saying in interviews that it will go past season 5. I don't have a link for you, only hearsay and conjecture (according to Lionel Hutz those are types of evidence).

I think they were at Junior Prom and discussing what colleges they will apply to so one more year of high school for the main characters.

They can still tie in The Next Karate Kid. Technically Julie (Hillary Swank) was trained by Mr. Miyagi too.
