I would've kept it, bit of the only benefit to keeping it is no ads and I can stream videos even when phone is in sleep mode, then it ain't worth it. They really should've at least teased some more content, but they may have not expected the success Cobra Kai had.

Don't be sorry, because that video is awesome.

Binge watched it this weekend. It's was really well done. Loved the intertwining character arcs and how they got you to root for multiple parties who were in opposition.

On my third watch. I'm about 200 times behind the original movie.

In the first fight, Ep1, Johnny kicks the Asian kid Skyler in the face. He immediately grabs his groin. Lol.

Robby is good actor, but there is no way that is the kid of Zabka and his ex.

This is a really smart show and really reverant to the original.

Started watching last night and got 3 episodes in.

- Much better than I thought it would be.
- I was hooked from start, but took wife a bit to warm up to it.
- Johnny's comments are hilarious.
- Love the SJW and millennial bashing.
- Daniel is still a dbag that needs more asskickings.

Finished this last night. Really really enjoyed every episode. The best part is this show has a sense of humor about itself. It knows exactly what the audience is expecting in so many moments and gives us a wink of acknowledgement. Daniel rubbing his hands together before yelling for a medic is a great example. Like many others I'm a big Johnny fan. Episode 9 might have been my favorite. Johnny/Daniel in a face off, stopping for breakfast, REO Speedwagon, then reliving the old days in the bar was just great.

Surprisingly Great show.

I was actually in Karate when that movie came out, I showed up to class and there were 20 more people than normal...I was like, "WTF?"

some were wearing those headbands and everything....they all quit when they realized it was hard work and getting hit wasn't all that fun.

I just binged it too. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was how quickly the two kids switched from good guy to bad guy and vice versa. It was not very natural.

I am way behind on this, but just binged S1 and S2 and I cannot wait for S3.
The fight scene at the end of S2 was fantastic. I am sure it's been talked about, but the choreography and the filming of it were awesome. I could watch that scene over and over.

I am curious about where they are going in the next season. Daniel is such a pansy. I have been actively rooting against him for the majority of the series. I have a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen to a main character (no way Miguel doesn't 180 his current situation, right?). I feel like something bad is going to happen to Demetri and that is going to force Hawk to reevaluate his life.

I'm just now discovering this and watched all of S1 in about two nights. This show is incredible.

Johnny is a top 5 character all time for me from just that season. Will watch S2 this weekend. I can't believe how much I despise Daniel Larussos high horse condescension. Even when he thinks he finds balance he's still a d bag.

So I burned through this in about 2 days. Was really entertaining and I was never in love with Karate Kid growing up or anything.

Also for being so high and mighty Daniel gets pissed and jumps to conclusions constantly. Show has me cheering for Johnny, and despite what happened glad to see Miguel make a better turn this season.

Eli is kind of annoying as hell constantly being super dick and Robby is just meh.

Tory is one crazy ass *****.

The one thing I dont like about this show is the portrayal of high school. When KK1 came out, I think we all assumed Kobra Kai members were athletes who also took martial arts. They had strength from athletics, they were jocks who knew martial arts.

It made the noodle shaped Larusso a believable underdog and made miyagi karate make sense: he couldn't win with strength but with technique and philosophy.

This show, everyone is in the robotics club. The physically strongest person is probably the black girl because of her weight.

I think it's accurate and represents a more realistic portrayal of school now. Kids are not as physically active as they were in the '80s and technology now vs then is light years different. Kids spend all their time on their phones and video games now and much less time outside. Plus, kids aren't "allowed" to just run rampant in the wild like I was in the '80s. We spent all of our time outside in the woods doing physical stuff. I would leave in the morning and show back up at home in the evening.

Never mind that club sports absolutely consume the free time of all the athletic kids nowadays. We didn't have that in the '80s. My soccer team was a precursor to that trend as we would travel on weekends to tournaments all over the state but it was only once every month or so.

Anecdotally, my nephew got into karate (my brother pushed him) specifically because he was skinny as a rail and scared of his own shadow. Went to some of his competitions a year or two after he was in it and he was basically Johnny. He was relentless and won most of the fights I watched.

I just read that Rob Garrison (who played Tommy in KK world) died of some medical condition. I was wondering if he had cancer in real life or something, because he didn't look healthy at all. Looks like it wasn't cancer but some other medical condition. I suspect that he (and they) knew he was going to die when they filed that camp outing. That makes that scene mean a lot more.

(Could be moon bombing the Germans.. I'm late to this show since it's now on Netflix.)

I haven't watched all of Season 2 yet, but I am pretty sure Tommy is the one Johnny was talking about "getting brain damage" in Season 1.

I binged both seasons starting the day it was available on Netflix. The acting and dialogue are cringe worthy, the storyline is meh, the fight scenes are pretty bad, but damnit the nostalgia kept me in it and I was entertained. I'm looking forward to Season 3!
