Ooh, I need to check out the Rogue Cut, thanks for the heads up.
I'm 2/3 of the way through the Ultimate Edition, had planned to finish it last night but holy crap it's 3 hours long. C'mon guys, this isn't Lord of the Rings (but I realize it was already 2 1/2).
Basically the Ultimate Edition introduces more subplots, not what this film was lacking. It does help explain things more in places, but still doesn't do much for the characters unexplained motivations or the really odd pacing of the film.
There is a ton of bonus material, some great stuff on the Batman designs especially so far. I have even more faith in a Batfleck written and directed film after hearing some of his comments, he truly gets the character. One of his comments that made me just go "yesssss":
quote:
It's funny, I never feel like you play Batman, you play Bruce Wayne. There's definitely an aspect of Bruce Wayne that's as much of a costume as Batman is. It's the same thing, he's trying to kind of fill this hole in himself through both identities.
