$102m for the weekend. Might be higher by tomorrow. The real crazy thing is Inside Out did $93+ and didn't hurt JW's business.

It was okay. I guess I was expecting the "WOW" factor from the first movie but it's just not there anymore.
Went this afternoon with my boys and my father. It was big, ridiculous, and ridiculously entertaining. We all had a ball. I loved the throwbacks to the original. In fact, I felt like this film was paying homage to many of my childhood favorites:
- Jaws: the giant tooth pulled out of the gyrosphere. Was practically expecting to see Ben Gardner's head pop out when Pratt extracted it.
- Predator: Camouflaged reptilian killer hiding in the jungle
- Aliens: Unit of Marine-like soldiers being monitored by an outside command center as we watch the team flat line one by one, taken out by a superior force of nature/science
- Apollo 13: The command center was very NASA-like

I'd probably pay up to $50k to hang out at that park for a weekend.

I also think BDH's British assistant got f'd over royally. And it's 100% the kids' fault.

I tried to get ink the movie, but it just left me shaking my head. For example, when the Kids escape from a genetically modified dinosaur and decide to have a little giggle laying on the ground about how brave they were for jumping off the ledge. Or when the dinosaur talks to the raptors and then does a head nod towards the people to tell the raptors to attack.
You must have really hated How to Train Your Dragon 2 when the Alpha took control of Toothless and forced him to attack his friend and savior. Even when Hiccup was begging Toothless to wake up, the Alpha was able to take over his animal instincts.
