I'm happy to post it on r/movies if you'd like, TC. Just give me an idea of what you want the post to be and we can coordinate the time. I have a semi-long posting history so it wouldn't look too out of place.

A couple of other angles:
(1) You post it yourself and ask people for critiques and suggestions. Tell them you just got out of Beta and launched the site, that it's been getting good publicity but that you want Reddit's take. High risk/reward, obviously. You might be panned as a shill, the post might be removed, or you might get some bad feedback that you have trouble digesting. Of course if they adopt it, you're set.
(2) You offer to do an AMA in the movies section. I don't recall your particular background, but "Hollywood screenwriter and developer of The Projection List" might get you past the mods. You answer questions, but you drive people to the site.
(3) We post twitter posts referencing the site, but not the site itself. I.e, if you get a big celeb or personality mentioning the site, we promote that person's tweet (and you by proxy).

Wanna say 9 AM central?
I'll post a new thread later today, then tomorrow at 9 AM, you can just post the link to your Reddit post in the thread.
quote:I wouldn't post the tweet as the headline. Just use the tweet in the body of the post as the organic way that someone found the site. They may not be the most noticeable, but still it adds authenticity to the post as it provides a history as to how someone found the site.quote:
Just have the post be organic. Mention tweets from some high profile people in the industry who love TPL and that was how you found it. Say it has become a new source for you keeping up to date on movies.
Tc are there any good tweets out there you would think qualify for this?
So people literally post notable tweets as their headlines? Or just like "So and so tweeted about this awesome site" as a headline?
Either way there were plenty of great tweets from January. I just need a better idea of how to format/present them in a headline.

My movie addiction just got another fix - I personally like this one. It is pretty non-descriptive to get past the mods, but I think enticing for someone to want to click on, especially if it gets a lot of upvotes at once.

Anything big in the next week or two that could be an organic post? Suicide Squad trailer date? Spider Man or Star Wars news?
quote:
Yeah, the trailer page really is the star of the site, so that's a good idea.
Here's what I'm thinking:
"My addiction to movie trailers just got another fix. The release schedule for all trailers for the rest of the year."
And either a direct link to the trailer page, or I could make it a "discussion post", where I can further explain projected dates, etc, and put the link in there.
In case you're not familiar with Reddit, this is an example of a discussion post, whereas a regular post is just the headline and the direct link.
A discussion post allows for more information, but it could also mean less clicks on the link.

One last suggestion: delete the planning posts once the plan goes into action. I think the backlash if someone were suspicious and did a google search would be unfavorable. That's my CYA suggestion, anyway.
