Ok. So this is not a bad loss. At least we know where we stand; toe to toe with the clear number 1 (to me). For a school that has no indoor facilities, I'd say we continue to overachieve at ITAs. Have got to get to work on doubles bc that will be the difference maker at NCAs.

Reverse of the score from last year.

They mowed through the tournament like we did last year. Dominant.

But to finish second in indoors when we do not have an indoors court is still pretty darn good. And making it to the final will be good for recruiting..

Our mediocre football team needs more air hockey tables, our national championship winning tennis team doesn't need an indoor tennis facility even though they are the only ones in the SEC without it

Proud of the team. Not quite enough today but we were close.

  • Lulu / Mary up 5-4 in doubles.
  • Mary serving for the second set up 5-4.
  • Lulu gets an unlucky net cord off her opponents serve on a deciding point or she is likely winning the second set.

Mia, Daria and Nicole all playing great. Lex wasn't quite ready for this but she showed fight at the end and it will make her better. Jeanette will be ready if called on.

Next time we play Georgia we will be at home.

I'll be there to watch us bring home a W.

the football team probably has more ping pong tables in their game lounge then we have tennis courts

On a serious note, throughout this indoor, it has been really good to see every single match never give up and have some really good comebacks all the way back to win third sets. A lot of good things to improve on come the regular season. Just goes to show the saying I've never seen them quit, bodes true with this group this year already!

I just want to remind everyone on Lex's background: She's a top recruit from Florida. She has played and lulu have probably played the least indoor tennis in the team. She will be so much better outdoors.

If Mark decides to go with Jeanette when/if she gets fully healthy then we roll with that.

We have a ton to celebrate with this past week. Yes this loss sucks, but this was a historic week for us. To my knowledge we've never made it to the National Indoor championship match, we just did. We played some great teams and showed great grit. Onto the next, and georgia is going to need God's help when they come here because indoors versus at Mitchell could not be farther from each other for us.

Considering we did this without the ability to consistently playing on indoor courts is freaking amazing! You could tell it got to some of our girls, but they all fought like hell. Can't wait for the revenge tour on outdoor courts
