Words can’t describe the honor it’s been to have you as my teammate these last two seasons. I’ve had many over the years, but you are the best teammate and indeed the greatest friend that someone could ask for.#F1 #Formula1 #APXGP pic.twitter.com/RA5odKbzVB
If you go again, take the big shuttle bus to the mall and get a taxi from there.jorgerr96 said:
Finally back home from Abu Dhabi. Without a doubt, top 3 F1 weekend I've had. I was able to be in the F2 paddock/MP Motorsports garage on Saturday. Got to see pretty much everyone in F2/F1 Academy as well as some faces that were there to support friends (like Ralph Boschubg, Clement Novalak) and some drivers that got there early for testing like Pato O'Ward, Gabriele Mini, Roman Stanek. Sadly Alex Dunne got there on Monday when I left so I never saw him lol.
A lot of drivers from those series told me their plans so the F2 announcements that began yesterday I already knew of lol. F1 Academy I know of about half the grid as well, some are still being signed and I saw some of the younger F4 drivers there (there as a F4 UAE trophy round) talk to F1 Academy staff already for 2026 and onwards.
I will say Abu Dhabi is a perfect track. It's modern, the grandstands offer a lot of views and not just the track in front of you, and the fireworks were absolutely insane. Like 4 minutes of nonstop fireworks. Weather was great as well, hot in the day but gets cooler at night but I was in shorts and t-shirt and never felt cold.
Track action for F1 Academy was phenomenal, this track really really suit the F4 cars. They had actual racing here because of that. F2 finale was unfortunately a mess due to Hadjar stalling and his championship being over from the first lap. I talked to some drivers on Sunday and they all mentioned how the stalling has always been an issue for years (they don't have anti stalling, F3 and F1 Academy can don't either).
Only bad thing was the taxi wait at the end of the night, I really hope in future years they expand shuttles/buses to take you back to Abu Dhabi, but the taxis were cheap anyway, it was just the 2-3hr wait on saturday that was brutal.
Unsure of when I will come back but I definitely will, but planning on 2025 now. My aim is to do Miami, Zandvoort, Monza, Austin, and Las Vegas.
That's what happened after Qualification for us. Took forever, so we made sure to get out quick after the race. We were also motivated to go since we had a plane to catch.jorgerr96 said:
That's what I did, but the taxi queue at the mall was that long on Saturday after Eminem. I got back at like 1:50 AM. It wasn't that bad on Sunday after Muse.
I think Eminem was just too popular. Those wristbands were gone in the afternoon.
