I believe so. Pretty sure it is the same girl that lost to tu in the finals 2 years ago. It came down to that match when tu won.

2022-2023 schedule is here. Seems like a similar approach to last season. We do have Ohio State and Northwestern prior to conference.

Well, that is why I am not the coach!!! Agree, at least they have Ohio State before conference but just not a strong schedule for this team. Maybe the men play too hard of a schedule but this team should be really good and need to be tested. Especially towards 3-6.
It will be a fun season!

Praying like all get out that the women's tennis website is not complete for the roster. I had a bad feeling that Ellie Pittman would look for greener pastures, but we are not listing all our incoming fish it appears. I hope Ellie doesn't come back and haunt us like the girl who went back to TCU and ended up being the deciding point in the NCAA's round of 32.

I don't understand what we don't play Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, etc. this schedule won't prepare us for the tough matches we need to make it further in the tournament

Last year's schedule led to Texas A&M's only two conference titles all year in sports, men's and women's, all across the board so sounds like a recipe for success again to me.

Agree with this! Last year they were very young but so were the National Champs. I felt last years teams could beat anyone but those easy matches and all at home really didn't prepare them for the big tournaments and think it showed.
However, that is just my opinion and it will be another great season with lots of wins.
I suspect the SEC will be a little better this spring as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing a little stronger schedule. However, I'm going to go with coach Weaver's intuition considering the team went undefeated in outdoor matches. If the bar for A&M and A&M fans is winning only national titles then perhaps the facilities need to be at a a national championship level. Subpar facilities.
