Do we think she might play another year and then maybe go pro? Hasn't she won grand slam tournaments in doubles? That's crazy to me to think that she's done that and played the #2 line for us.cbmik95 said:
She has 2 years she could claim though. One medical redshirt and one Covid year. Considering there at 6th year seniors still around, I think she could earn one. Or Atleast I hope so. I love watching her play! She's going to be unstoppable this next year.

Oh you meant line 2 in doubles. Correct! It is crazy to think that. Next year she should be moved up to line 1.Chapa96 said:aggiedrjdub said:Do we think she might play another year and then maybe go pro? Hasn't she won grand slam tournaments in doubles? I think she will play 1 more year and then turn pro. During an interview with Texags she wants that education. Why work so hard in high school and not get a degree. Her words.
She has won Junior Slam doubles tournaments. And she actually played line 1 for us.
The @ITA_Tennis National Assistant Coach of the Year is a FIGHTIN TEXAS AGGIE👍🎾

Ok, I am not an Aggie but I watched this team play 4 times this past year. What a talented team and fun to watch. I am a huge college tennis fan.
It is really going to hurt losing your #2 player, she probably should have been #1 but smart move was to
let her stay at 2 and Carson continue at 1.
I really think the schedule hurt the 4-6 players the most. It was just way to weak and all matches were at home. I know they were young and needed experience but UT didn't worry about youth and they were ready for the post season. Don't really think they had the best team but anything can happen when you have Stearns. SEC was good as usual but not great as they normally are. Aggie's were by far the strongest team in the SEC.
It will be interesting who they match Jaci up with next year. I will be back watching as they will be top 8 again and maybe even higher.
Maybe the Aggie men and Aggie women can compromise on that schedule as the men's was brutal! Denton is not afraid to play anyone.
That is just my .02 worth
I think our schedule affected our overall seeding, and some of the easy wins may not have prepared lines 5-6 for stiffer competition is what he/she is saying. I, too, wondered if Carson should have played line 2, but if you can guarantee a win at line 2 with Tati and you're usually 50/50 at line 1, that's really all you can ask for. Carson will be VERY good at line 1 over the next 2 years if we're lucky enough to keep her. Line 5-6 hurt us in the later part of the season, although, Pielet came up big vs OU. That was an unexpected victory (IMO) and Tati was the unfortunate and unexpected loss. Line 3 doubles should have NEVER lost that match in the semis, and unfortunately, that was the nail in our coffin. Playing indoors was a complete disadvantage for our team. I believe we had the best outdoor team in the country this year, but it just didn't play in our favor with the weather.aggietennisfan said:
So I'm trying to figure the logic out here of the last few comments. The men's team finished 25 in the nation and they got the scheduling correct? The women finished 5 in the USTA and 7 in the ITA and were ranked as high as #1 in the USTA polls going into the ncaa tournament. Just did some quick match and looks like the women had 15 top 30 wins. Am I missing something here or is everyone smarter than me?
