If you'd have scheduled too hard, they'd be complaining that the team was too beat down and the schedule needed to be easier. Bottom line is that they were in position to win it all and just didn't catch any breaks. It takes an amazing roster (that manages to stay healthy), great coaching and a bit of luck. We had all but #3.

The good news is that a lot more people care about women's tennis than in the past. These ice cold takes from folks that "could have done better" are actually good news, because it means people are following tennis.

100% agree! I'm happy for the WTT to be in the discussion as the best team on campus. I'm hopeful that WBB and softball, turn around soon. But, if we can do well in golf, softball, track and field, tennis, basketball, soccer, and equestrian (is that factored into the directors cup?), we will be doing well. Is it sad that I don't have a lot of faith in volleyball right now? Hopeful they turn it around, too.

That's a whole lot of room for immediate improvement everywhere except maybe golf, they had a really great run but I haven't followed their recruiting / graduating personnel.

I think the schedule discussion is fun and everyone made valid points. To hard like the men's and it can beat a team down. To easy may have had bearing on the seedings.
I really didn't see anyone speaking bad of the coaches or girls. I think everyone agrees what a talented bunch and fun to watch team! Hell, I am not an aggie and I watched them four times and will be there for the ITA in January.

What was it, two years ago when Women's Golf was down and out? I recall reading a thread about the woes of the Women's Golf program but don't recall how long ago that was (and don't feel like surfing to find out exactly:-)).
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

Thank goodness something doesn't go their way. Going to be interesting for them next year. Kylie to LSU is interesting. They are still going to be very much in the middle/bottom of the SEC again. The graduated 4/6 from their lineup

T sips reloaded quickly. Marlee Zein is transferring from Florida. I'm addition, they signed a 21 year old freshmen(questionable) from Israel and another actual freshmen from Germany. All three I can see playing in the top 3 of the lineup

Ok, as I have state before, I am not an Aggie but just loved watching them play. I will also be
there for ITA kickoff and will be cheering for them.
But, how in the heck do you and Chapa have all this information!!! And, it is usually accurate!
I am just a huge college tennis fan.

The twins just won a 25 K last week. They've also won the 80K Tyler tournament in the past. Sounds like from the news article that once the National Championship, their college goals (for better or worse) were accomplished and it was onto the pros.

Eye opener! Good for them. I hope they end up like the Bryan brothers and represent the US in the future! I do wonder why Joffe didnt use them together.

Reminds me when BU had Benedict Dorsch who also was a 21 year old Freshman and played till he was 24.

Reminds me when BU had Benedict Dorsch who also was a 21 year old Freshman and played till he was 24.
The 21 y/o is from Israel & they get forgiveness for their time in mandatory military service. Kind of like Mormons and missions.

As for the sisters not playing together, maybe Howard is still gun-shy about the DeHezas fighting & melting down like only sisters could and costing the team the national championship.

Mia Kupres is currently competing at the junior Wimbledon! She won her first round against a girl from Kenya. Coming off a tournament last week where she beat 3 of the top 50 junior players in the world! Looking for her to make a huge jump in the rankings.

Guys, Mia is going to be very very good! She's hitting a stride that Carson was hitting before college. Looks like training with team Canada is laying huge dividends

The first round isn't concluded but anyone know when she'll play round 2?! I've noticed A&M Tennis follows her Canadian teammates also competing in Wimbledon, Annabelle Xu and Kayla Cross… Can Carson and Mia help bring them in! Canada to College Station pipeline incoming…

I honestly don't know! The Team Canada aspect makes it interesting. I don't think her ranking will be high enough to make it financially possible. Carson being an advocate helps. I think she makes it to tennis. Many other notable juniors committed to playing collegiately. She has Rosen quickly, but not quickly enough to make a case for pro. Not even sure she has a WTA ranking yet

Her teammate Xu is very very good. Top 5 junior committee to UVA. She would go pro before Kupres.
