The attendance at the 3 NCAA matches was 512, 579 and 678 according to the box scores. From Carson Branstine's post-match comments it seems she really appreciated the fan support and feeling appreciated is a great incentive.

Anyone know the OU team well? Looking at them on paper, they are better than I realized. They appear to have an advantage at 5 and 6 but seems like it is close or we are slightly stronger everywhere else.
I dont know them well but have seen them play at the BIG XII Championships vs tu. They have surprised me this year. I think they made it to the finals of the ITA Indoors. They beat tu twice but lost to them at the BIGXII Tourney. Their #1 is ranked 10 or was. She did not impress me one bit but she was playing Peyton Stearns and lost 0 & 0. Maybe Peyton is just that good or this girl is over ranked. They have a very crafty lines 3 doubles team. One girl is from Peru and was being very smart on how she plays. They have a sister duo playing line 1 doubles that I know we can take. They also both play singles. Maybe Lines 1 and 2 but the older sister didnt play singles. Im not sure if she was hurt and not sure if she is back in the lineup. I predict we win the doubles. And we could/should get wins at 1,2, 3 and maybe 6. I hope I am right! Stearns seems to be crushing everyone right now. I think this match could very well come down to line 6. Mireles is tough, and one thing I love about her (win or lose) is she hits the ball and doesn't shy away from playing her game. This will only make her stronger as she navigates college tennis. We are very strong 2, 3, and 4. Lines 1 and 6 are dependent upon the day and opponent. Carson can beat anyone; sometimes the reality is, she just doesn't. Playing line 1 is such a cross to bare - so.much.pressure. If we could ever steal line 5 we will be in very good shape. Line 5 has been our nemesis all season long on a team with this much depth. Having said that, Pielet is so talented. I think most of her issues are mental at this point. She will be very very good for us in the future (and especially in doubles).

Interesting read! I think the analysis is pretty good but they are sleeping on Mary. She has been so reliable and I think she is the favorite in that matchup.

I don't know why they keep saying we have no top 10 wins. We beat #7 and #9 7-0 back to back in consecutive matches. Maybe they mean no wins against teams that ended top 10?

With how we have been playing recently, it's hard for me to imagine us losing 4 singles matches.

I think that's what they mean as well.
But as Mark said several times, Auburn and UGA were one win at indoors away from being top 10 at the end.
I think Georgia losing their #1 singles player for the season after Carson beat her really sealed their fate. Hard to lose your stud and expect to compete for a national title if lines 2-6 have to slide up. I haven't researched to see if that's exactly what they did. I do know in the SEC finals, the girl that played Carson was at the 2 spot when we played them earlier in the conference schedule. Tati beat her.

Agree. We are better outdoors and OU did really well at the indoor tournament.

Main outdoor courts are dried and practices with teams are happening. We'll see if we get moved outdoors.
