I really am not one to cry over split milk, but do you realize that the ONLY thing between this team and a 20-0 or better record is a sorry, and I mean SORRY ref's call in Madison. Granted, had we won, our "consolation" games would have been in the winners bracket rather than the losers. But IMHO it would have given us an even better view of exactly how good these ladies are. Instead of playing OD and USC we would have started off with OU and trying to put prejudice aside I truly think we were a better team than they were then and NOW. Hopefully down the road we can check out my prophecy abilities, but that's later. We would have also had to get past NC State. And yes, those gals are very very good. I don't know if our fish could have taken their upper classmen. The ladies are really showing their character and mental abilities on the court shaking off adversity in a majority of first sets against OM. This weekend should be another barn burner. Be it known, the UK men's and women's teams are both just about as obnoxious as the sips. It sure would be nice to give them a taste of a healthy 12th Man crowd this weekend. We don't need to lower our sportsmanship standards, just let the opposing team know when they made a mistake.

We are taking our daughters to their first match tomorrow against Vanderbilt. Does anyone have tips to maximize their experience? Where to sit? Possible to get autographs or pictures from a few players after the match?

The girls will be outside in the "concourse" area after the singles are complete to sign autographs and take pictures with those who wish them. Last home stand, it was the 4 who won their singles matches first. Everybody gets a hoot out of the deal, more so with the ladies than anything I think. As far as where to sit, the grandstand offers the best line observations. You're elevated, and looking down the lines you get a good feel of most shots. The angles are what frustrate so many. Some will say, "THAT'S IN" while others are either shrugging their shoulders or shaking their heads for being out. The stadium club offers comfortable seating in the shade and most of the girls who aren't playing usually start out in the stadium club and then will move up into the grandstands to help out who may need it most. So if your daughters aren't intimidated to speak to the players, they get a kick out of talking to the young girls.

We were able to watch the entire match and had a blast. Our oldest plays 5-6 times a week and was in awe of the players. Thanks for the tips!

Found out yesterday that Aggie Great Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar is the head coach at Arkansas.

Crazy enough, only the second dubs point loss all year.
