Me too I'm a newbie to tennis! I started getting really into it my last year at A&M then Covid happened, but it's really fun to follow! The passion the players display and celebrations are awesome!! You feel part of the team when they yell in excitement after matches
Hopefully Carson can get her confidence back. I watched both of her last two matches and she isn't playing as aggressively and confidently as I've seen her in the past. She seems unsure of herself and that's the worst feeling to be at as a tennis player. She has the game. Just needs to trust herself to swing through it.

The ladies did the 12th Man proud today. Great crowd, great atmosphere, and great tennis. Carson fixed her lower body issues now she is dealing with some upper body issues, and she'll continue to play ranked players in almost every match. Mark has done a remarkable job putting this crew together and KEEPING them together. Katya, Renee, Isa have put in their lumps over their 4 years (ok Isa has 3, but still is a feisty competitor) and they are finding themselves sitting and watching after being out there mixing it up for the previous 3 years. My prayer is that "maybe" Katya and Renee if their injuries can be healed enough that maybe they can play against some of the SEC weaker competition (Missouri, specifically and LSU or Arkansas possibly). But obviously not all prayers are answered. The object of the game is to WIN, I get it. On to the Magnolia State and hopefully dismiss MSU, and Ol Miss. The rattlesnake IMHO is Georgia, this year's schedule is VERY favorable for the ladies to be home with the "stronger" competition save Georgia. But maybe that's just mystic this year.

Curious as to why?
The athletic department's website has banners at the top and bottom of the screen that limit the view, especially when switching between courts. I don't understand all that computer mumbo jumbo but to me the playsight website is easier. It's all the same feed anyway.

Ladies go 2-0 on the week with a top 15 win......And drop 3 spots in the ITA rankings?!?!?
Aggiedoc, what's #6? We dropped for whatever reason to #11 in the poll ratings. Tatiana climbed to #37, up 4 notches and well deserved. Carson took a tumble as would be expected. She will break out of her slump, but just try to imagine the grind these ladies are under. Mary continues to climb in the rankings. Anyone who has some longevity in watching this team play over the years, can anybody make an argument for a more consistent player on the court than Mary? By consistent I don't just mean won/loss records, watch this gal play. VERY few shots will go awry. This Sunday she got a little flustered, but still came back in the end and finished the job. She got a little rattled against Old Dominion but didn't have to finish. I see her as the rock solid performer on the court. There are no "bye" weeks in anybody's schedule, so at least everybody is playing with the same amount of rest.
Mary was outstanding to watch! For as young as she is, she composes herself so well! Very technical and disciplined! I'm a fan!
