It's so clear watching her, she's on a different level. If she figured out the collegiate game, there is no reason she can't rise to #1 in the country. She's that technically sound, it's the mental game she has to focus on. She seems a bit all over the place, but considering the expectations she has, I'd be struggling to. She is going to be a good one

Very very impressive start to the year. Our lineup is SOLID.
Gap, can I just say that Katya pushed the envelop a little too hard and now she's having to pay the price for it. She'll be out for an unspecified period of time. These girls are like thoroughbred race horses, their love is to play the game. When she was given a green light after going through rehab, she played the only way she knew how - FULL TILT, and it cost her. She's going through a specialized kind of physical therapy, and right now she just needs everyone's prayers and best wishes so she can come back as strong as she was as a fish. If you come to matches, be sure and let her know the Aggie family is behind her 100%.
Watching the matches this weekend, I have to be in complete agreement with everyone here. This team is going to be something special. IMHO, the key to the whole scenario is Tatiana and Jayci. Here are the sweetest young ladies anybody could ever want to meet, taking on the responsibilities of lower lines in the lineup, without letting their egos get in the way. This gives Mark and Jordan a myriad of options that maybe 3 or 4 coaches in the country have to play with. After watching Carson play this weekend, I am not one to buy into too much hype, but brothers and sisters I am here to tell you, this gal is the Real Thing. If you are close to a match, enjoy team tennis (and WINNING) you need to find a way to get to a match or two.
The indoor championships will be an absolutely super proving ground to see how far we can go this year, on two fronts. Indoors, and playing against the best there is this year. At this point in the season only the #6, 10, 12, 14, and 16 teams didn't make the cut. The pairings aren't finalized yet, but if you go by strictly the ITA rankings of 1/26 our opponent would be #8 North Carolina State. Since a couple of "unranked" teams won their round robin the probability of those rankings changing is pretty good since 2 teams ranked above us lost.

I live in Dallas area but plan on going to the Florida match and definitely going to the NCAA's again this year. It will be in Illinois but back to Orlando next year. Had such a great time watching mens and womens tennis at the USTA Tennis Center last year.Signem said:

If Mark and Jordan can keep Tatiana happy playing 2, and if Jayci can win the "pusher" matches she may see at 4-6, we may see a new level of Aggie tennis. Carson will figure out the college game, just a matter of time.

And don't count on it anytime soon. Money has been earmarked for tennis in the past, then miraculously got moved to football. Shocking, I know.
There is an indoor tennis/pickleball facility being built in Bryan, and from what I have heard they are going to pawn it off as an A&M indoor tennis facility so that TAMU doesn't have to pay for it. Will be better than the City of Bryan courts for sure, but still a cop out on athletics part to keep from building a facility on campus.
