Not a fan of this schedule but $$$ talks.

  • Why can't we start in Australia as so many times before
  • I'm glad France was the one cut out of Monaco/Spa/Paul Richard
  • Logistics are terrible on this. It's like the organizers are trying to get more frequent flier miles.
  • Jet lag will be much worse on the schedule versus this year. I'm sure they're used to it but there only a 2 month stretch without a less than 6 hour time difference over 3 weeks.
  • Glad Monaco extended for 3 years
  • Why do they have to go back to China, they'll still be in lockdown next April

Overall more races is better for a viewer but these teams are pushed to the brink next year.

Way too many races. They should cut Imola, China, Miami, and one of the Middle East races.

I feel they put China very early in the calendar so if there is a need to cancel they can do so early on

I take each of my kids on a one-time big trip with dad. They get to choose what we do within reason. My son is excited about going to two F1 races with some sightseeing in between. I'm looking for a site where I can buy tickets. All I've found so far is super-expensive package deals. I know this is not going to be cheap but we don't care about hospitality packages etc . . .

Any recommendations?

We are looking at the following pairs, since they are each a week apart from one another:

1) Emilia Rogagna and Monaco

2) Monaco and Spain

3) Austria and UK

4) Hungary and Belgium

Silverstone already went on sale last week, they had a lot of problems so they halted sales for a bit. Spain is not on sale yet.

My recommendation is Spain as it is one of the cheaper EU races, but Monaco will be on the expensive side lol. However, Spain gets Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, and W Series, and Monaco get Formula 2, FIA Formula 3 and last year they were the only F1 weekend to also have support from FRECA so that could happen next year too. I find EU races better for fans because you get all that feeder action whereas in the US we get **** like the Porsche Cup or the rich people driving Ferraris.

Planning on Barcelona so for sightseeing there is also the Ferrari Land theme park like 90 minutes away (probably accessible via train or bus or something), has the fastest roller coster in EU. Sadly the Fernando Alonso Museum seems to be far from Barcelona

Last year the race in Austin had F2 or 3 and W.

Last year they had the dual W Series rounds and F4 US but F4 US now ends in November at COTA and W Series will only race one time (Mexico got the double header) so Sunday might be a little boring in the morning.

Tsunoda has been terrible for two years, I'm surprised Red Bull kept him in that seat. I would've given Schumacher a go

It's getting impossible to tell anything now. There are so many names floating out there as possibilities for just about anything. At one point, Mick was a name being thrown around. Right now, I have no idea.

Keeping Tsunoda helps to keep Honda involved, and Red Bull will gladly sacrifice Alpha Tauri.

With an announcement this early, got to think they got De Vries locked in

Rumor is they are waiting to see if Sargeant qualifies for a super license. He has to finish the season 5th or better.

Flying into Austin for the race in a few weeks -- my first time going. Anybody have any recommendations on logistics getting to/from the track? We won't have a car, so currently looking at Uber or shuttle options (or other options?). Any other suggestions or recommendations for a first-timer? We have 3-day grandstand tickets.
Does anyone recommend the shuttle options? Or is it even more of a hassle then driving in and dealing with the traffic ourselves?

RIDESHARE DISCLAIMER: New this year, COTA Blvd will be restricted to permitted vehicles and buses only. Similarly, rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) services will operate out of the Del Valle High School parking lot and can only be accessed by a COTA shuttle (complimentary 3.5-mile ride). To ensure a successful transit experience, rideshare vehicles will not be permitted on McAngus Road or COTA Blvd during race weekend.

Used the shuttles last year and it was pretty easy.

That said we got lucky. On Sunday after the race one of the busses got in a wreck causing the company to pull all of their drivers off the road for the rest of the night. Stranded hundreds of people out at the track who were forced to find another way home.

Whole operation was a little sketchy to be honest, they seemed extremely understaffed and unorganized, but we got too and from the race both days fairly easy.

Hope after last years debacle they changed shuttle companies.

I'm doing the shuttle again. It was fine last year but pretty slow Sunday both ways. Hoping traffic is better. Not sure why the main route starts in downtown.

So.....either Danny Ric accepts the Haas seat and Mick is out of F1, or he accepts the Merc reserve role and Mick stays on another season.

Just something I heard this morning.

Canal+ reports De Vries signed to Alpha Tauri, which would make Gasly to Alpine another move. Williams would now be between Mick, Daniel, and Logan. Personally hoping to see the Sarge on the grid

Can't wait for AM to get all points removed and RB get a warning.

But in all seriousness, it will be interesting to see what kind of precedent this may set.

Needs to finish on the top 5 which is likely as long as Carlin doesn't disappoint. Yuki was in the same position in 2020

Lol, turns out that no teams have been named. Seems like a well crafted negative PR tactic on the weekend where Max could clinch the WDC.

Lol. RB just trying to make the race more fun.

Max from the back might make it a good race.
