6 races left, with 1 more win and 1 podium finish he can be out of the points for the other 4 races and still win. It is probably even easier than that since LeClerc isn't going to win five out of six races and get the fastest lap every remaining race

Red flagging the race last year would've allowed Lewis to be on equal footing with Max instead of having the rug pulled out from under him at the last second with Masi going against all F1 procedures for throwing the green after a caution.

Flying into Austin for the race in a few weeks -- my first time going. Anybody have any recommendations on logistics getting to/from the track? We won't have a car, so currently looking at Uber or shuttle options (or other options?). Any other suggestions or recommendations for a first-timer? We have 3-day grandstand tickets.

Bobby Shwartzmann (2021 F2 runner up) is driving the Ferrari on FP1 at the USGP. Plus Logan Sargeant driving the Williams. Should be a fun session
I would think using the airport shuttle is the best bet. This is a really tricky question because last year was a nightmare for traffic

I park right by Turn 1 on top of the hill and we leave as the checkered flag falls and beat feet out of there.
I would hate to get stuck in post race traffic. We got stuck after one of the practice days last year or the year before for the first time ever and it was a nightmare of sitting in the parking lot going nowhere for almost an hour.

Does it make any difference traffic-wise if you stick around for some of the concert, or is it pretty bad the rest of the afternoon/evening? I don't have any particular interest in either artist, but would stick around for a few songs if it means less sitting in traffic.

I've only gone to one concert and it wasn't bad at all, but again we beat most everybody out.Goldie Wilson said:

Turn 11 is a good spot to watch the race. That's where we sat last year. It's a bit of a hike to turns 8-10. There is a trolley that goes around the track, stopping at different spots.

Ear protection isn't needed. The cars are not very loud from the stands.
It's a shame. My first GP was when they were using 3.0L V10's - they were very loud. I was walking on the back side of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Friday morning when they started firing up the cars in the garages, and I was shocked at how loud they were.La Fours said:

I went to the GP in Montreal a few years ago and on Saturday they had a classic F1 race with cars from past decades. We didn't bring ear protection and if you didn't cover your ears when the cars came down the straight it was damn near nauseating noise levels. It was great!gggmann said:It's a shame. How do you listen to the race commentary or each teams radio?

There are huge screens showing broadcast tv footage and the tv broadcast audio is played over PA speakers. I guess you could listen on your phone via F1TV or another streaming service.

With fasted lap, Leclerc needs 8th or worse.
