Very true. You can 'hide' a lot of the surroundings, with a night broadcast. And it's typically so hot, it'd make sense.

Heck, they could still have acts out there earlier in the day if they wanted to...though I agree it's not necessary.

Central Texas is so pretty, but the track is in the most bare/blah area.

Holy crap. What lot were you in? The only day we had issues was Sunday. Friday and Saturday we got in and out of lot L very easily and to the hotel in Buda in about 30 minutes. Your Friday sounds like our Sunday.

As far as YouTube F1 content I follow a few.

WTF1 - good for some news, quick knowledge, but mostly internet reaction to (last event).
The Race - good for news and quotes, also good for in depth analysis both strategical and technical.
Chain Bear - this was the first one I found. He does great videos for new F1 fans that explain the ins and outs.
Tommo - Regular pundit, graphic designer, reviews liveries, gives his thoughts.
Aldas - similar to Tommo, these are probably the least two watched for me.
Aiden Millard - earlier videos similar to chain bear that gives detail on rules, newer stuff is a lot on the history of F1.
F1 Official - highlights, top 10s, history.

I'm sure I have missed a couple that I have seen or have been given to me through the algorithm.

Any good ones I didn't list?

Yeah Lot T was the same kind of s-show. It was by far the worst I had seen in my 9 trips there for F1.

Eventually there was a line of cars that had 'broken out' in the back of the lot and drove thru some private property to make it to the road.

On Sunday (maybe Saturday too I forget) I paid $20 to park across the street to avoid the craziness.

Was out at COTA over the weekend for the Nascar race and they finally finished the construction on Elroy Rd. Doubled the lanes on both sides, and made the traffic flow significantly better.

Obviously the quantity of cars won't be near the level of F1, but I've been out there a bunch for concerts where the traffic is a ****show. Last weekend was a pleasant surprise.

They mentioned how they want Vegas to be the number 1 in the US so fast and I believe it. Once they started mentioned their partners, C3 Presents, Live Nation (who own C3), and even name dropped Pasqualle Rotella (from Insomniac, the ones that do EDC), this already sounds like one giant party. Easily what Miami tried to be but now Vegas has all those partners.

As for the track, I'm meh on it so far, but of course we need to wait to see the race. But I am sold on this just based on all the partners they are working with. Gonna have to get a ticket for this for sure.

Definitely going to be a hell of a party.

There's usually a big usaf exercise in Vegas that time of year. Hope the planners don't realize the Grand Prix in 2023 and I can sneak in that way.

The Main Grandstand? I sit there on Fridays for like $50 or $60 usually on Stubhub. We buy it the day of or the night before. I really wouldn't wanna be there for the race even tho the shade and club access is lovely just because you only see turn 1 action and some of turn 20.

We've been sitting at the top of the Turn 1 grandstands for Saturday and Sunday and it's been pretty great when it's not raining or blazing hot!

I sat in the main grandstand in 2019 for the whole weekend. I liked it but you have to watch most of the action on the screens they have on the paddock. The seats allow you to see most of the prerace events and the podium.

Turn 1 would allow to see over most of the track. I wanted to look into the pits so main grandstand was good. It really depends on what part of the race you want to see the most.

I sat there in the trackside area last year and got closer to the center for this year. I liked it because you get to see the pits and the pre-race stuff is live in front of you but most of the action will happen in other areas of the track.

. Hamilton has always been a whiny little *****. I swear some of these guys wouldn't have made it out of the junior formula's 20 years ago. Senna would have psychologically destroyed some of them in F1.

My favorite part of 2021 Drive to Survive was Hamilton pulling the race card from when he was 7 years old and always picked last on the playground.

Working my way through DTS season 4, and I just watched the HAAS episode. My goodness Mazepin is a tool. I knew he couldn't drive but wow.

Regarding this season, I'm enjoying the watching the Mercs struggle. They've had it easy for too long. Good to see Sir Lewis face brought down to earth

Any idea how they're going to contain this Vegas race. I'm here now and trying to visualize the thing. It would be pretty bad ass to get a Cosmo suite that over looks the track
