Although it's impossible to know fuel loads and engine mapping for those times, I'd be concerned if I was Bottas. He's two seconds off the McLaren on the same tire compound.

Alonso was slowest in the speed trap yesterday, so it seems that the Renault engine is still a bit behind the others in terms of performance. Edit: Alpine are not using DRS after discovering an issue with it.

Sounds like most teams are having more issues with bouncing/porpoising than they expected.
Using DRS helps lessen the effect, but Ocon wasn't using it earlier. Could see the Merc and Williams bouncing too - pretty much all teams have the issue #F1 #F1Testing

They can fix that by raising the ride height slightly. The trade off is less downforce through the corners.

The immense downforce causes the floor to get so close to the ground that it stops working, which leads to an immediate loss of downforce, so the car pops back up, regains downforce, the floor goes down again. And repeat.

The real trick is making sure you do not hit the resonance frequency of the suspension system with frequency of the porpoising. Then you would look like a Cali hydraulics competition

The loss of the Uralkali sponsorship could mean Mazepin loses his seat since it was purchased anyway...and Haas may need someone else to step in or they could go under.
