Some very interesting comments yesterday via the radio. Binotto telling Charles that they will have a lot of fun next year makes me thing all the development they've made is looking really good. He's been teasing a great year for Ferrari ever since the spring.

The 2022 engine will actually be a Honda engine and it's the ones that follow that will be engineered and built by Red Bull Powertrains. I think Masashi Yamamoto said this weekend Honda's parting gift to Red Bull and Alpha Tauri will be the best possible engine for 2022. The transfer of technology is probably well underway, but the development of their first independent engine will be for 2023 and beyond.
Is Red Bull just hiring a bunch of Honda dudes or what?
I think RBP is getting Honda tech, but they've actually hired several engineers, etc. from Mercedes.

I think (hope) that Ferrari was seeing really positive things throughout the year for next season and that's partially why we saw them seem to lose out towards the end of the year. They were already focusing towards next year most of the season but really seemed like they fell off the last couple races. Especially Charles. I think in a more competitive year we would've seen another power unit for him and Sainz both instead of coasting

Mule car is just a current spec car that has been modified to test the 18" wheels for next year. Mainly suspension modifications as the smaller profile tires are stiffer.
Just a fan of Lawson here. Did double duty with F2 and DTM this year too but got massively robbed of the title on the last DTM race. Not like the Abu Dhabi controversy but it was a bad way to lose a title. F2 wise he had a win and some podium finishes, his move on Piastri at Monaco was amazing. Between him and Vips, I'd go with Lawson for an Alpha Tauri seat, but I'd say both are just extremely close to each other.
Who would they replace in 2023 in terms of F1 drivers?
IMO, there is absolutely no way Gasly stays in AT for one more year after 2022. Sure the guys struggles in race when he scores good in quali but I don't undestand what he is doing in there.

That McLaren 1-2 is actually a good reminder for Toto and Lewis that Masi didnt lose the championship for him. He lost it here when he accidentally hit a button and drove off track to finish out of the points after Max had a freak blowout while leading comfortably

The drivers car numbers are all over their merch, their car, all the marketing materials out there have Max 33 in some form or fashion. His official Twitter handle is @max33verstappen. 33 is a part of his brand.
World Champions have always had the opportunity to choose the #1 but lately it seems drivers haven't because of their brand.
Let's just say Lando wins next year. Could he then say I want #1 and take it from max?

It's my understanding that if Max chooses to race in the #1 car in 2022 but doesn't win the 2022 world title, he'd no longer be able to race in car #1 regardless if the 2022 champion chooses to switch from #44 to #1 or not.

Thats correct. Drivers choosing their car number is a recent change. Prior to that their numbers were assigned based on where they finished in the championship with the world champ getting #1. If i remember correctly i think the world champion's teammate got #2 regardless of where they finished.
#1 is still reserved for the world champion if they choose to use it.
