So I still am pretty new to the sport and don't understand everything but I heard them talk about budgets during Monaco and apparently there is thought they maybe used all their budget up in the prior couple years trying to stay ahead and other teams deferred and maybe are putting more money to these "new" cars...?

This is easily the biggest challenge Mercedes and its two drivers has faced in years. This weekend could be a huge turning point in the entire season. However, if anyone knows how to respond to adversity, it's Mercedes.

Blood bath Q1 session so far. Stroll and Gio crash causing red flags to session. Many cars unable to record times yet. Merc could be in danger of missing out on Q2 or Q3.

It will be interesting to see if Norris gets a grid penalty for his red flag violation. It was very close between being able to pit or keep going.

Q2 ends with Danny Ric crash. Both Mercs will advance to Q3.

Surprise of the day. Alpha Tauri puts both cars into Q3 with Tsunoda making P4.

Pretty annoying that's 2 races in a row that Leclerc is competitive all quali to get discounted by the announcers all of Q3 because of red flags. It's definitely good luck and has assured his pole twice now but it's not like he hasn't been in the top three for Q1,2, and 3 there

Really hoping Verstappen can get ahead of Hamilton from 3. These red flags ending Q3 are pretty unfair. Verstappen would have had a good shot at pole. Now he could lose the driver's championship because Tsunoda crashed in qualifying. BS.

AND - Bottas continues to take it in the shorts from Merc. BS.
