You're probably closer to right. I'm gave him some really quick conservative estimates in my head, and then adjusted to something I thought sounded good.
That deer is going to surprise you because he's going to get 11" on his brows. He will go mid to upper 130s.

Lady friend shot her first deer Saturday evening with her grandpa's .243. Only her 3rd actual shot with a rifle (2 target shots before was all she needed). It was getting dark and only 10 minutes left of legal shooting time, she dropped this doe in her tracks from about 75-80 yards with a shot to the neck. She is now hooked and wants to shoot a big buck.

The deer I posted a couple pages ago was taken at about 100 yds by a 6mm. Never took a step after I hit him. The cool part for me was that I shot him using my dad's Ruger #1 that he bought in the early 80s so he would be shooting the same caliber as the rifles he bought for my brother and I. He sat in a lot of deer stands with us and watched us shoot several deer while holding that rifle. But he never killed a deer with it. So that deer I took Saturday was the first deer ever killed with his 30+ year old rifle.GeorgiaAg85 said:

Really warm in my cube this morning
The land I hunt on has been in the family for 50+ years and never been hunted until 5 years ago when I started. Have seen a couple good bucks over the years on camera but never in person. This morning I watched 3 young bucks come and go, then this one walked out looking for a fight. First buck ever taken off of the place. Couldn't be any happier.

Dang I've been doing it wrong my whole life. I love my .243. It's a family gun that many of us use every season. It's brought down many deer, pigs, turkey and Audad over the last 40 plus years. (I've only used it for about 25, but I have no clue how long it's been around before that)
A few years ago I got these three with the .243. All neck shots and all dropped where hit.
