You guys been to Bricktown?

I've been to both. I think Bricktown was perfect. I don't think the SEC will consider it.

I liked Hoover. It had a good feel to it. Good atmosphere.

Agree. Just have to drive to the games. And zero restaurants.

Hotels near the park are nice, but often expensive, and you're driving to games anyway so you can stay at an affordable hotel. Driving to games at Hoover is not bad, because parking is free. If you take this thing to any downtown park, you're going to be paying a bunch for parking.

I stayed at a hotel near the park in OKC because it is nice, but I considered it a huge splurge.

agree. I consider hotel costs a massive waste of $$. My primary hotel (motel) considerations... (1) Will I get shot/robbed? (2) Is there hot water and electricity? (3) That's it. There is no #3.

I traveled for a living for 40 years. Spent 200-220 nights a year in hotel rooms. There is a lot more to consider than #1 and #2 if you want a decent nights sleep….believe me.

Boat racing is like a beautiful woman.......expensive, high maintenance, but well worth the fun!

#3 a decent enough breakfast that I don't have to take the ferals out in public before I have coffee.

I beg to differ... #3 - do I have enough travel points to cover this hotel?

Then, yes I agree with Trouble, a close 4th would be the "free bfast" option!

Yeah, the SEC headquarters in Birmingham is not going to even consider a ballpark in OKC.
