Same with Oklahoma. Everyone hates Texas. I'm old enough to remember when we still played Arkansas in the southwest conference. Again they were never a team I was really that worked up about.
Prior to about 1994 and the Joe Wilbert incident, and prior to our first trip to Folsom Field in 1995, Arkansas had a reputation for being the nastiest fans in the conference. Of course, LSU held that crown OOC.
Arkansas only has 6 electoral votes, and they sweeten the pot for a lot of Texas kids these days, with up to 30% of the freshman class from Texas. These kids generally don't hate A&M; they're just making sound financial decisions to go somewhere that wants them.
