We've experienced our first ABS challenge and it went Mizzous way. FYI, there is no strike zone box on the screen like you see in MLB.

Also showed:

How deceiving the crappy camera angles are in college (even though this one is better than most schools)
  • Actually looked pretty close live, challenge showed it significantly off the plate
And how college kids don't know the zone as well as MLB players
  • Per most MLB standards, that would have been a really, really bad challenge to miss by that much

It wasn't even close either. Ball called on a miss of almost 3 inches. Surprised the catcher was the one who initiated.

Figure it's just working out the system though by the players. They have a new toy and they will likely play with it a little too much at first before they settle down.

ETA: Yeah, what htxag said above. Didn't see that response somehow....the one right above my own. Reading is hard.

Ole Miss definitely isn't done yet. They can swing it and Mizzou just isn't very good... but I hope the Tigers can hand in there and pull it out.

keep in mind the ABS zone is bigger than the actual, real, defined strike zone. So is possible (I'm not watching live) that the balls are actually balls, but within that buffer

Yes, you're correct. All 3 that I saw in that inning were "in the zone" by less than half the width of the baseball... so definitely in that buffer zone.
