He was a step from 3B when the ball bounced over the wall....there is a 0% chance they would have even had a play at the plate.

I think that's my animosity towards them. I really have nothing against Vanderbilt. My godson is going there next year but that one just pisses me off. Especially since the school could've stopped it years ago and they don't.

While it's easy to say the SEC is overrated, I also totally agree with the argument that these 4 teams regionals are silly, it should be a 3-game series, just like the regular season.

oh no, I understood that but no, I don't think he should've been awarded home because them's the rules. They suck sometimes, but it is what it is. So I don't think he should've been awarded home.

I'm in the same boat this year. Usually very pro SEC. I think them stabbing us in the back and adding the sips did it for me.

The rule is everyone gets two bases on a ground rule double. In some cases (like today), a runner on 1st could have easily scored. It is what it is. Should the rule be "umpires place runners accordingly"? Maybe. I'd actually be okay with that. But that's not how it is now.

You don't like the four team regionals? it would cut down the field considerably unless you added an extra weekend. I kinda like the four team schedule. Gives you more chances.

But if you're basing it on the MLB, they the five game thing to the seven game thing,I can understand that. Maybe even wildcard games add in for a one and done playoff thing. Maybe it should be.

Now I can't decide.

But I do like the win out and you get it. I don't like people arbitrary picking teams they think are best because in the long run, no one necessarily plays the same in the playoffs as they do in the season. If you've earned it, you've earned it.

I disagree. In many cases, you have no idea how it would play out. That one obviously he would've made it but there's others where there could be a clutch throw and they wouldn't. I think it's more fair to do it this way. But I can understand why it ain't popular.

Now if you're talking about running out of the base path… Oh, never mind.

We all play on turf. Some is natural turf like ours and some is artificial turf, as is the case at Vandy.
