In this case the ump is NOT supposed to award 1B. That's exactly what I referred to by the umps being aggressive"outside the box." Put his ass back in the batters box in that scenario.

What I'd really like to see is us get rid of the Barry Bonds-esque knights of the round table armor. Some neoprene, sure, not no hard plating. If you want to eat one, fine, but it should hurt
