Albert's has said the finances were horrible and that he's had to make cuts to get it back in black.

CDC figures even if he doesn't get him he puts financial pressure on our whole athletic department. It's a cutthroat move.

If sippie were still a Top 2 or 3 program they would not have had to settle for Pierce in the first place when Augie was fired retired.

A side question about Pierce being let go, will either Rice or Cougar High be smart enough to let their current coaches go to hire him? Both teams have fallen on very lean times and Pierce has ties to both programs. While not an elite coach I do think he is solid enough to make either program very competitive, a regular in the NCAA Tournament and maybe a surprise team in Omaha.

For those wondering what's going on in Billy's brain. Looks like he's not getting into it yet.
