Based on this article, Mac seems to be writing for clicks and is an imprecise journalist with poor reasoning or at least a poor grasp of English. Words have meaning Mac. I suggest you get your thoughts in order before pumping out articles just to meet a deadline and/or get clicks.

Any writer that mentions beard going from tech to tu, as an example for the irresistible allure of texas without mentioning that beard is a texas ex and was an assistant there, is a hack of the highest degree. beard doesn't leave tech for texas if not for his ties there, and waits until a blue blood opens up or he implodes like he did in austin.

Look there is not a 0 chance that schloss goes to tu. Anything can happen but the likelihood of it is very low. He isn't going to be offered anything there that he cannot get here. If he leaves, and it is a big IF, it would be because he just wants to be there.

My opinion is that were was def some backchannel talks (why wouldn't there be) but they didn't/aren't going anywhere and he is getting what he wants here.

I guess you could try to debate "Texas is Texas" but Austin is NOT the Austin of yore. This is not the cool Austin of the 80s and 90s. It's got to be the most overrated city in the US at this point. Austin lost what made it great in the 2000s-2010s and I don't see it returning.

If tonight's game has anything to do with the timing of this, it wouldn't surprise me if it is Nolan Cain or Elander (UT equivalent).

In the extremely unlikely scenario it is Schloss, I'd be okay with a quick hire of just promoting Nolan Cain.

tu is just trying to steal our thunder. You actually have to play for something meaningful for someone to do this to you. This is why no one has done this to tu in the last few years because they haven't been in this situation (other than their blip in the radar in football).

I think the take is that they will reach out to whoever loses tomorrow morning and they are confident they can close the deal, the most unrealistic thing would be for a coach to win it all and then leave so they have to settle for whoever loses

This is what happens when the University of Texas athletic department has any opening, from janitorial staff to a head coach.

If this argument held any water Pierce would never have been sippie's baseball coach in the first place.

LOTS of smoke on Schloss. No mention of it by Texags brass..which would lead me to believe there could be more smoke since they will try and focus on natty..which they should. Schloss and Texas AD are great friends. Texas whether you like it or not is the premier baseball college in America. What does Schloss want to do?? It would suck really bad but I can totally see it. Texas would do anything to knock the shine off of us.
