I didn't say they don't have a good relationship, just that I'm not sure what it is. Maybe things have deteriorated in the few months he's been here because of certain answers on the renovation project? Maybe Trev low-balled a contract extension? Maybe Schloss doesn't like the market for a ~50 divorce in BCS?

I'm not saying I believe any of those, I'm just saying the odds aren't 0%.

If either National Championship coach was leaving for tu, they would have waited until tomorrow to fire Pierce.

Ask yourself this: Would you go work for a boss that allowed rumors to start on the biggest day of your career?

If tu's coach was fired today, that only means it's not Schloss or Vitello.

The reality is that tu doesn't have a dog at all in the fight today and they wish they did. So they're trying to make a move on a coach now and not wait any longer. Timing is stupid and maybe it's supposed to be a distraction. But I doubt either team cares right now what the rumors are.

I don't think that's how contracts work. But coaching in Austin being the punishment for losing should have both Schloss and Tony trying their hardest.
