For lack of a better place to put this, what Skenes has done at the MLB level is insane. I remember folks last year talking about him being an MLB pitcher in college, which is oftentimes just massive hyperbole. Not in Skene's case. Pretty damn unreal.

Despite my hate for LSU, I have a lot of respect for Skenes because of his time at Air Force and the way he conducts himself. If I recall correctly, he donates a certain amount of money to charitable organizations that help veterans in need every time he records a strikeout and he has been doing so since college. Class act and great guy.
Edit: it was $10 per K in college to Folds of Honor and now $100 per K in the MLB to the Gary Sinise Foundation. Such an awesome thing for him to do.

Freshcorn. Cool name. Better than Rottencorn. Good progression since high school. Real good numbers at McClennan. Still hoping we add d1 level transfer(s).

Hoping we get Morton back. And still holding out hope for Cunningham unless y'all have heard something. Seems development is going to be very important.

Of course Ash and Prager would be nice and a game changer. Not getting my hopes up. We will have some good, young arms regardless.

Both these guys are huge gets and will pitch big-time innings for us next season. Per X, Tennessee and tu were after Patton as well. He could crack the starting rotation next season potentially. Freshcorn was elite as a freshman last season, could be a top bullpen guy for us.

I like the big fish throwdown from Hop. Patton had a great season at Long Beach this year. Seems like an Ash starter kit. Already a pitcher. Just normal progression now. Was shutdown in May for an injury. Hopefully no problems there. Big get.
