Who are you specifically talking about? Who has been playing all year and is now no longer on the team?


I want to say there was a Hornbeck who coached with Twelve, so if that's the case he's talking about Hodge and maybe Hamilton.

Doesn't mean he's certainly leaving. The numbers in the portal are staggering. Think of it as free agency. Some will move on, but some will stay.

I'm curious how the portal is going to affect graduation rates. I can't see how some guy can go to three schools in four years and have a degree at the end of it. Right now the rosters are full of guys with an extra COVID year, and those guys need to finish up before the results will really show.

Player free agency is great for the players (who have a future in pro ball). I suspect it will wind up being a bad move (long-term) for a number of guys who choose it.

This would make perfect sense. Whether he was with Twelve or not. Some kids have been coddled their entire life and told how great they are only to find out when they get to college, that they aren't so great LOL.

And I'm not referring to Hamilton. After watching him pitch in HS, he was a pleasant surprise in the limited number of innings he got this year.
