I want the UTEP kid. Its been quiet on him. I don't know if he is waiting to see if Texas has a spot for him or what.

Ideal would be a post player who can step out and hit the three. I don't know if that guy is out there and an option for us. The UTEP kid can hit a three, but not consistently. We don't have that big man that can step out and hit the outside shot and that is a big part of basketball. Ashton Smith is best option

On defense if isolated on the blocks a lot by a college PF who knows what he's doing, okay, but the other team has to also guard him. The matchup issues go both ways. The opponent is going to have to guard a 6'8" guy who can play lead guard. He got 10+ assists in 3 games last season. Not sure I remember the last time we had an Aggie player get 10+ assists in a game.MarcAg said:
I think he's going to be a very nice player for us. I just don't think he can give us many minutes at PF vs SEC teams I'll think he would get abused on the blocks.

Kaluma was one I really wanted and thought he got away. He was close with Obaseki and Robinson. Would love if Manny could help reel him in.

"He's being heavily recruited by the University of Arizona. Right now I'd say it's a four horse race between Arizona, Syracuse, Creighton and Washington with Western Kentucky hanging around a little bit. It's heavy. He broke it down there from having the entire Pac-12 calling to this level of about four. Syracuse being really the only program that was recruiting him pre-UNLV at a high extent."
Interesting note on Williams:MarcAg said:

Another factor that will need to be considered is Arturo Ormond. The former Miners assistant coach was Bryson Williams AAU coach in Fresno. They have been together since Williams was a youngster and many feel that Ormond will end up at his next destination. If Ormond is retained in some capacity with the new UTEP men's basketball staff, then it is almost certain that Williams will stay a Miner.

2) You might see a second wave hit the portal come mid summer and so might not be bad to have a scholarship then when others might not.
Arizona State guard Remy Martin has entered the transfer portal, source told ESPN. Two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection, averaged 19.1 points each of the last two seasons.
