Philandrous' 3P % is not really good...nor has improved in the last 3 years...29%...26%...and 32% in 2021 with inferior competition. I would like for us to get a consistent (2 years in a row) +38% 3P guard...his TO are also pretty bad to close to 3 per game.

He's not right. Coaches are just going to have to change how they coach. Maybe if you start paying the players you could have contracts that limit movement, but until then I think the players should be free to move. If they can't make money then they at least need to have the ability to do whatever they think they have to do to maximize their college careers.
It's not gonna ruin college basketball, but it's gonna destroy the hope of small schools being competitive. Bit unfair to them if they find a diamond in the rough and develop them just to seem them leave to go play at a big school after one big year.

Some of those small schools are adding guys like Flagg and Chandler though, coming down from P5, who might be pretty good in a small conference. It isn't totally a one way flow.

someone should tell Coach Musselman that he's not supposed to land all of these great transfers and put together a great team so fast. It has only been two years and it takes longer than that especially with covid.

But also tell him if he is in the market trying to get all these portal guys it's a sign of desperation and a reflection on his current roster.

I'm torn on the transfer deal. The best teams are generally teams that grow together some and have a lot of talent. It's possible the transfer portal hurts the talented but impatient individual but it's also possible it allows players to funnel themselves to the correct level they should be playing at.

That was his joke. People have been saying contacting all these transfers is "embarrassing" and a sign of desperation and the state of the program is awful. But then same people turn around and are like Arkansas or whoever are killing it in the portal.
Getting transfers not exactly the same as what we are doing at this point. We are just adding to everyone's interest list
Pretty disheartening right now. Desperately need momentum on recruiting trail.
We have a worse batting average than Randy Johnson.
