It's a sweeter rum, lots of added sugar after. The purists will tell you it is 100% garbage, I like the flavor for a change of pace. I believe it's matured in sherry casks to give it a lighter and sweeter finish on top of the added sugar.

It is, indeed, very sugary. Too much for me, truthfully. I prefer to mix it to cut down the sweetness. I'll drink the mess sweet stuff neat.

I received some on accident. I actually rather enjoy it. They take a more meticulous approach to adding the pineapple rind and fruit, rather than just flavoring at the end, and I think the result has a good flavor that doesn't taste artificial. I was also worried that it would be too sweet for my taste, but it's really not.

Sometimes I'll mix it 50/50 with something more full bodied like Appleton 12 in a rum fashioned and it works really well.

Premise may be my favorite finished FS. I haven't cracked my 2008 yet, but it's going to be hard to beat 2007. In a side by side with 2004, 2007 blew it away for me.

Really enjoying the Premise and 08. Still haven't opened 07. Need a third bottle of Sagacity to compare it side by side to Premise.

At this point I will buy any bottle I see in this series that I haven't tried before.

Picked up some Doctor Bird this weekend and just poured some to sip on. Good enough on its own, but this is definitely going to shine in a Daiquiri or similar

Keep your eyes open for Detente - Foursquare ECS. Should be hitting US shelves in the next week.

Also - Mount Gay has an ultra premium Post Cask Expression coming out that is only releasing about 2100 bottles in the US.

I've seen Kansas and Missouri so far oddly enough.

Not in WA and had a friend check Chicago as well with no luck.

Probitas makes a very good daiquiri if a tad plain
