Re: the scoring this week, I find it really weird that there have been three 62s yet the lead is only -8.

Props to Herbert and Suber for hanging in there so far. Figured they'd fade into obscurity early on. And Eric Cole is at -4. He shot 76 in R1 and is -10 since.
Bryson's spectrum-ness will have him push the limits at times. Push on rulings. A few years ago, he wanted a free drop in the woods because he saw a couple of non-fire ants. He sees things how he sees them and that's kind of it. I am not surprised to see some defend him because I know these guys don't want the grass-mashing to get too scrutinized

Does the golf course not have a sprinkler system? It reminds me of playing the Raymondville municipal course. Bryson was a physics major in college which might explain some of his mad scientists traits. He has publicly stated that he plans to live to be 130 or 140.
I've seen some sprinkler heads but a lot of courses over there do not. Burned out and brown is not unusual for a links course.

I think most have sprinklers for the greens, but not the fairways. Given the heatwave Europe has had the last month, not shocking it burned out

The self appointed leader, yet most divisive person in golf (except BC) continueing to show his ass in taking every chance to bash other people in the game is the least surprising thing of all of this. The next time he shows leadership will be the first time.

The bigger issue is he's not controlling his negative emotions anymore in this slump and it doesn't look like he's allowing TS to be the calming force he needs.

Just looked on the Open app. Scottie at 135th in strokes gained putting. I don't know if that's up to the minute or if that's just through two rounds. Either way, really brutal for him on a week that he's hit the ball pretty dang good.

Especially after I believe being top 5 in driving and greens in reg the first 2 days. That's not bad putting. That's devastating putting.

Burns will be interesting tomorrow. He's got a history of playing really tight and conservative when he has a lead.
Bryson tiptoeing thru the rough… is probably a better reason for hating on him than the New York Post article stating he is hated for yelling at a cameraman and player on a green as well as 'Publicly saying he would not take the Covid shot'. WTF, at least he's not a sheep.

There has been no bull**** to deal with. But it is fitting for Bryson to royally screw up and have no self awareness.
Open Championship leader Sam Burns played with Bryson DeChambeau today and he said the fans were very supportive of him after yesterday’s ruling. He also said he didn’t think Bryson deserved the penalty:
