Caterpillar employee 'immediately incinerated' after falling into pot of molten iron, OSHA says (kwtx.com)When you're having a really bad day try to keep things in perspective.Quote:
MAPLETON, Ill. (Gray News) A Caterpillar employee was "immediately incinerated" when he fell into an 11-foot-deep pot of molten iron heated to more than 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
OSHA said in a news release Wednesday that the death of the 39-year-old employee happened on June 2 at a Caterpillar foundry in central Illinois, which produces cast iron engine components.
It was only the employee's ninth day on the job.
A federal investigation determined that, if proper safety guards had been installed, the death could have been avoided, OSHA said.
Investigators with OSHA found that the foundry regularly exposed employees to unprotected fall hazards as they worked close to deep containers of molten iron.
The employee who died was a melting specialist who was removing a sample of iron from a furnace when he fell into the melting pot.

Looking for setups this evening. Not one I typically trade but is a Farmer special. Know T has been one he has keyed on previously.
Watch this one for gap fill potentially. Post earning.

Bought June 23 15c on this one. Posted it a while back and ended up entering those. Please excuse all my lines. They are alert levels for me.
You have no idea how short I am.

actually those were my biggest winners today. Once we lost the low of the day, I started to look at puts. I bought 0dte's and a couple puts, tomorrow exp. The first big candle down (and loss of that previous level) I went in heavy. I LOVE these sharp sells in this market btw, lose a key level with volume, Boom! They are a fast easy way to make money.Charismatic Megafauna said:$30,000 Millionaire said:

I know this is "correct," but what would you say is the right way to play a move like that? Brew fomo'd into puts on the way down, but that seems equally reckless.
My aar is that move was the market making an overly violent move in the direction it wanted to go anyway, on whatever news happened to come along at about the right time. So was it wrong to assume it was going to swing back just as fast?
Or is the only right answer to get stopped out (or take your profits) then sit on the sidelines and wait for it to shake out?

I guess as long as Ukraine is the aggressor, it's ok. Nothing to see here. Their errors are looked upon differently.

Kind of a weird take if it was an air defense missile fired in defense of actual offensive missiles, but okay…

But do we know that's the case? Has there been any evidence to suggest Russia fired a missile in that direction and then the Ukrainian defense system blew up those missiles and then shrapnel hit a grain silo or whatever?
