Will be going around the end of March for a bachelor party. The crew wants to stay downtown, but myself and another would rather stay on the Strip.

Anyone have any insight to some cheap rooms on the Strip in a good/decent hotel?? I usually get an email each month or two from Planet Hollywood giving me two free nights, but just want to see about some good deals for the others. They are all on a budget (as well as myself).

***Has anyone ever had any good luck talking to a casino host at the hotels and talking them into hooking you up with a good deal??

I have done this before at the hotels in Louisiana and fed them a line of bs, and ended up getting a couple of nights comp'd. Just didn't know if this was a possibilit in Vegas or not...

Going for March Madness

Yep.... I'm heading there for March Madness as well.

Am actually going in on Wednesday for work.... then my bros-in-law are flying in the next day.... should be a good time.

Me and 3 Aggies headed out there again for March Madness. Can't wait. Hopefully, we will see the Aggies at the Sportsbook play for the 5th strait year.

I'm heading out for MM on 3/17 & meeting up with fellow degenerates.

Where are you guys staying/watching the games? Best comp deal I could get was MB.

Wednesday at Flamingo, Thurs - Tues @ NYNY. We're at Flamingo first night (comped) only because NYNY will only give us 5 nights at reduced rate & they want $159 for our 6th night.

If you have any history at all at Bills, call them. I just booked a room for a friend for $39/night.

Me and three Ags are staying at The Platinum Hotel. It's a really good deal (160ish/night) for a 960 sq ft condo/hotel. Two blocks from strip, so we will walk to Venetian or Hard Rock Sportsbook for the games....

Is it a pipe dream to think I could get a weekend room at the Venetian or Bellagio for ~$160/night without ever having been to Vegas?

Yeah...pretty much. Even with the rough economy, the prices at the B & V/P are still outrageous on Saturday nights.

You might be able to get an $160 avg room rate over a Wed/Thurs/Fri or Sat/Sun/Mon, but to just pay $160 for a fri/sat night is almost impossible to come by.

If you've never been to Vegas, there isn't a huge rush to stay at the nicest places. Consider that you probably won't be in your room just a whole lot. Plus, if you start out staying at some of the nicest places you won't have tooo many bigger and better things to look forward to in future visits.

Going to Vegas for the first time in June ( 30th wedding anniversary). Staying at the Encore and have reservations for Garth Brooks. We got a special rate because of the Garth Brooks show. Does anyone know if it is worthwhile to upgrade to the top 10 floors?

Good Lord, this week is dragging by....I get to scratch the Vegas itch Thursday-Sunday for a bachelor party...It's been three loooooong months.

So... as mentioned above, I'll be there for March Madness as well. Flying in on Wednesday night... leaving Sunday night. Working on Wednesday but then all fun all the time after about 4pm that day for the remainder of the time.

Anyone else staying at the MGM Grand? That's where we're crashing.... Also, what is everyone else doing besides sports book/gambling/watching BBall? Hitting Playboy Club on Sat night but was curious what everyone else is doing...

We hit up Playboy Club on Friday night (bought the $60 VIP pass that got us into Playboy/Moon/Rain/Ghostbar.

Playboy was probably my least favorite, though I wasn't playing there, so that might have been the problem.

Moon was solid with the roof open and Ghostbar was nice outside.

Rain is the one that got me though. Damn. I felt so old in there, but am extremely glad we hit this place up. I had never felt bass in my hair like that.

RogueAg- We're also flying out Wed night. Not staying at MGM, but a friend is having a party on Fri night in one of the Terrace Suites. Sat - poker tourney at Binion's & afterwards we're eating at Firefly downtown & will probably take over a BJ table &/or craps table somewhere DT afterwards. Other than that I see cabana time, carnaval court, early AM breakfasts at Peppermill, lots of miami vices, watching hoops, & more booze & laughs.

Are there any discounted tickets for Jubilee and has anyone seen a solid comedy show out there lately?

Recently I saw Frank Caliendo (because we got free tickets). I thought he was alright. Actually, you can see his gig on Netflix -- the Vegas show is almost identical.

Terry Fator is supposed to be good but I wouldn't really call him comedy. Also his show is on Netflix too.

I would definitely check what the Mirage has going on, they almost always seem to have somebody passing through... Leno or Conan or somebody.

There are a few comedy clubs on the Strip as well. Second floor of Planet Hollywood, for example. Never know what you're going to get.

Going to be in Vegas next week (7/11-7/14) anybody else going to be there? Also really looking forward to it as it will be my first time there over 21

Perhaps he's not classified as "comedy", but I LMAO'd during his entire performance. One of the better shows I've seen in LV.

Can anyone give me a real expectation of a Spa suite at the Luxor...gonna be there 15th through 18th...I know Vegas well so don't need to hear about the Luxor being for kids...just want to know shout that room...also anyone else going to be there?

I haven't seen the spa suite but I had some friends that got to stay in one of their Luxury Suites and it was very nice. I believe that they've recently remodeled a lot of it too.

We have seen Terry Fator and Frank Caliendo. Both are good but go see Terry Fator first. He is one of the best shows we have ever seen and is getting great reviews.

He is a true rags to riches story. He was playing county fairs in Texas three years ago and has now signed a long term deal with the Mirage (I heard for $90 million). Also, he is from Texas.

Might want to put this on page 1... but this website gives you some GREAT package deals round trip flight with united airlines and hotel stays on the strip for reaaally cheap

Just did 4 nights 5 days (Thursday-Monday)... Flamingo (cuz its on the middle of the strip and cheaper option), round trip non stop flight with united from Dallas.....
