The Playboy Club is ok but it's really just a small casino. Tables are about $25 a hand I think. And honestly, the bunnies weren't even as good looking as the waitresses upstairs at Moon. But if you stop in Playboy Club you have to go into the bathroom. It's pretty smooth.

Well I went to Ghostbar on a Thursday night, it was just me & one girl so I don't know about the ratio thing. But we bought a pass earlier in the night for all three clubs for $20 and then just came back later when we wanted to go in, hand already stamped.

starting to look up info for a trip end of June/beginning of July

I'm not really finding the deals that were available the past few months. Half-decent hotel deals, but flights are quite pricey, seemingly even more than normal to LV.

Is it because it's the summmer? Vegas not as desperate? Is it too soon, or too late to be looking?

I just got back. Stayed at Paris. Not that impressed with the hotel. Casino is very loud. My favorites of the Harrahs group of casinos is Ceasars. Saw Terry Fator at the Mirage. Great show.

Posting from Mccarren, trip went really well and LV was fairly steady all week.

As for the question about rising room rates, I heard that the hotels are finally hitting consistent occupancy and won't be putting out as good of promos as they had been.

On my way home now.

Obama visited Caesars Palace for a fundraising deal for Harry Reid. Protestors were surrounding the place. Massive line in the casino for the event; I was just looking for a craps pit to play at.

Monte Carlo was awesome, very impressed all around. Also visited and played at The Flamingo, still the same, still love that place. I think Caesars is finally to the point where they are just too big as a facility; it takes forever to walk around in there, and you need a map to get anywhere. Also played at Excalibur, Luxor, and New York-New York. Excalibur has taken a turn for a worse, the whole place is dirty and dingy. They do have pole dancers in their party pit, though. Luxor looks like it has fallen on hard times, I was very unimpressed by the casino. The staff was nice, but I don't think much of their management.

More later.

Enough of the "which hotel is better? this one or this one?"

http://www.vegastripping.com/battleroyale/

The site let's you match-up Vegas casinos/hotels in a battle royale. I'm sure some of the outcomes can be debatable, but this is still a neat site that I found.

Generally you can get into moon/playboy/ghost for $20 at the door. Just go early enough and you pay for one pass to get into all three. Don't need to go out of your way for it.

Many clubs will have people on the casino floors (or wherever) giving out free passes to the club. I got into Voodoo for free last week that way.

If you want a strip club, just call ahead and see if they can put you on the list and wave the cover. Spearmint Rhino did for us, and all we did was call them that evening.

Don't fall prey to the guys on the street (Las Vegas Blvd) selling free passes to night & strip clubs. They'll just try to rip you off, although you can haggle with them to save yourself some time too.

Should have mentioned:

If you plan to do bottle service at a club, be prepared to pay. The cheapest I've seen is like $125 for a bottle of Malibu Rum. Don't be surprised to spend $400 just for the alcohol, plus tipping the guy who gets you into the club, plus tipping the waitress.

In my opinion, it's something fun to do just to save you've done it. But it's too rich for my tastes.

Another link to point out is wizardofodds.com

has both general and specific rules and strategies of every game possible. Also I've found to be the best craps and BJ practice games on the internet.

Will be in Vegas in 2 weeks with a few other ags, leave Saturday, Dec 5th-9th staying at Planet Hollywood.

Will be seeing Trans-Siberian Orchestra the first day we are there and then running the Vegas Rock n' Roll half-marathon on Sunday. Those are the only two events we have scheduled, just doing random stuff the rest of the time.

Can't wait to get back to Vegas
