I was not at all impressed with our bench in Game 1, but they are having a good showing tonight

Saw that de Larrea has 10 points so far. How is he looking?

Super comfortable. Still a little turnover prone, but hitting mid range floaters like he does them in his sleep.

Absolutely. That block on Wemby in the 1st was S tier stuff.

Sergio is 8-10 from the floor. Is that good?

Great fight, and **** the Spurs. They get away with the most physical defense in the league for whatever reason and it pisses me off.

Team looks tired tonight. Thanks NBA.

This was a great job by everybody tonight. It's hard to complain about this game at all. We were right there after 38ish minutes and then the Spurs did everything right.

I thought Dusty got every coaching decision right. The zone defense in the 1st half was awesome. The way they decided to defend specific players and who to leave open, etc. was spot on. How we guarded Wemby was perfect.

Our two best players didn't play (and Morez was limited) and eventually talent won out. Fair enough.

Loved Sasser in the first half. Risacher is extremely serviceable. Larry had his "put the league on notice" game. WCJ is a great pickup.

Really encouraging from the boys tonight. This depth is why we thought the team could outperform expectations and they showed it against the conference champs. Really exciting.

Yeah team has pretty much an all new roster, new coaching staff, and new front office.

They used the rocket game to work out some of the rotations

Indiana was a nice win except for that idiot injuring Flagg.

Tonight's game was good to see what the bench could do

The schedule has been brutal and doesn't really let up this week so if we can start 2-4 and get some players back. I'll gladly take it.

Going to get even more WCJ and Larry in Miami.

Feels like a pretty big game tomorrow oddly enough. While Giannis has been Giannis, the rest of the team has been dog S. Basically bottom five in Def Rating and Off Rating, and statistically the worst team in net rating. And coming out of the first four games 2-2 would be massive for the mentality of the team with OKC and Houston on deck and in the hole, and on top of it all hopefully getting Coop and Santi back after that.

ETA: I'd love to see Kyrie play about 30 minutes, Morez start and maybe even Sasser. I have been very underwhelmed with what Max Christie has brought this year so far, and Gaff is Gaff.

Obviously barring catastrophic injury like that, I think the Rockets are staring the one seed in the face now.

I'm not writing the Thunder off just yet. They are so deep and they played most of last season without J Dub. Just more minutes for Caruso, Ajay, McCain, and Stirtz.

No clue what's going on with the Spurs though. Maybe Guitarsoup can give some insight from someone who watches every minute of every Spurs game and consumes Spurs content. You could chalk up their first two losses to playing the other two best teams in the conference, but there's no reason they shouldn't have run the Mavs out of the gym by the 2nd quarter.

I only watched the first game vs OKC. Spent the weekend camping in the piney woods with my son.

I think that it is mostly a combination of dealing with Fox and Harper both wanting to start, but that makes the bench trash. When Tobias Harris comes back, they really need to switch to a more traditional lineup of Wemby-Harris-Vassell-Castle-Fox and have Harper as a Ginobili-like super 6th man off the bench. Bowing to the egos is hurting the team. They will figure it out and still finish at the top of the conference. Slow starts are something that has happened to a lot of very good Spurs teams.

Gotta balance out the bench and shoot better.

OKC is definitely still going to be vying for the top spot in the West. I simply mean I think OKC, SA and Houston are bunched together now, and after the start of the season I would bet Houston to be the 1-seed. They are currently +1000 which I find to be insane given that injury, SA's slowish start and how good Houston has looked. Should also throw Minnesota in there as well.

These are 100% intentional. He's throwing it really high and hard off the glass to be trying to score. Dusty is an insane coach and Larry is a great soldier for this.

Cason Wallace and Jalen Williams now expected to miss likely the entire season. Cason Wallace tore his labrum.

Lose two backcourt options, still have SGA, Caruso, McCain, Ajay, and Stirtz.

Just unbelievable work by them…

I do think this means that OKC will be in the market pretty early for a wing who can defend and shoot, or a secondary creator. Those are devastating blows man good lord.

I feel like POA is their big need. Wallace and JDub were their primary POAs after losing Dort and then Caruso, but Caruso turns 33 this year and has played under 20mpg the last two years. Plus he has had a lot of injury issues in his career.

Trading for Herb Jones to be a POA defender makes sense, but they are going to struggle to make salaries match.

They are over the 1st apron, so they can't take back more money than they send out. They have a bunch of trade exceptions... but they can't use any because they are over the 1st Apron. When players hit the waiver wire, they can't sign anyone
