Strange list from a strange guy

Butler isn't coming here.
My guess is they'd want one of Chriss or Tucker with EG for Butler.TexAgs1992 said:
Guarantee you Daryl is still trying to work some magic to get Jimmy Butler in a Rockets uniform. Butler has a player option in the last year of his deal he can opt-out of in 2019. He can decide if he wants to stay in Houston or not then. For now, you have a max of two more years of the championship window. Minnesota is pigeonholed as well trade wise. You offer a package of Gordon and Nene while using your $2.5 million trade exception in the deal. It's time to go for it now. Imagine the following rotation:
CP3-Harden-Butler-Tucker-Capela
Bench of:
Carmelo-Brandon Knight-Marquese Chriss-James Ennis-Gerald Green-My Large Adult Son, Zhou QI
We have nothing they'd want.Texan_Aggie said:My guess is they'd want one of Chriss or Tucker with EG for Butler.TexAgs1992 said:

How can they demand that? Butler is in full on pre-agency mode, just like Kawhi last year. TWolves bargaining position is screwed.gordo97 said:
I agree... they would want a superstar player for Butler

Spurs still got a All-NBA player. It's still probably 90 cents on the dollar, but it isn't like they took Jeremy Lamb and a first.

So this Butler thing has some legs for us?

I have to trust that Morey won't give up too much. He pretty much never does. Tucker would be a big loss but I think Butler brings a lot of that same type of toughness with him, albeit at a different position.CFTXAG10 said:
My question would be what we are sending out. Reports are the asking price is steep. I would be willing to part ways with Gordon but what else?
Edit: Did a little digging and it looks like we are offering Gordon+Tucker+1st and other similar packages for Butler. I hate losing Tucker in that scenario but I like the idea of Paul-Harden-Butler-Melo-Capela. With Ennis, Green, Nene, Chriss, Knight off the bench.

If we add Butler, I think that's a starting 5 that can compete with the Warriors. Bench would be weak AF though.
