In all seriousness, I want to clarify again that I was not condoning or encouraging a physical altercation with a referee. I was doing something else when I typed that and never came back to it after that.

Obviously a horrible look and I apologize. We had a fight last year in the stands and it was absolutely horrible. Would never want that.

I get not wanting to give the kid a card for something that happens in the heat of an emotional moment and really didn't hurt anyone, but yeah, that's a textbook definition of taunting and I could see that video being used to train officials. Lol.

The ref didn't call obstruction. The AR called offsides.

Shots were taken from video as the ball was kicked and just after.

Hearing about a fight in Region IV boys regionals. Don't know which teams or which division. Surely there's someone out there ready to blame the refs though.

And remember at this stage it's refs from other regions who almost all are higher rated USSF.

Most complaining to the referees I've seen since I watched the Nations league.

A kid was dribbling the ball holding his arm for a handball call looking back at the referee.

Man, I get judgment mistakes and most fouls are 100% subjective.

But when they're encroaching on every free kick and throw in, it's not a question of judgment but just not enforcing the rules.

Tied 1-1 in OT. We should've won with the Pk and goal that was disallowed.

According to the players on the field who were talking to the referee after the goal, he verbally told them no goal because of obstruction. I too just assumed that he called offsides but that isn't what was said by the head referee on the field to the players involved.

They're all good people and we've got each other's personal contact information. I've reffed FM Boys coaches' son at the club, HS, college, and professional levels.

Not necessarily higher-rated in USSF. Highly-rated in their local TASO chapter and USSF are two different things. Me, for example. I'm the lowest-rated you can get in USSF but I just did a Regional QF playoff game in TASO. the highest assignment that a ref can get from their local chapter assignors.

Local assignors are done now. They don't pick the Regional and State officials. UIL has a selection process that occurs with that.

R4 4A in Corpus. Full on masscon. I saw a clip this morning. I think the game ended 8v8.
