you HAVE to be able to stop things if VAR decision was wrong. Hopefully they'll change it and we wont see it again.
In handling or any potential foul/misconduct, the play is live until the referee blows the whistle and decides what to call. And they have until the restart of play to change their mind on any decision. Once the restart happens, there are no "do overs".
It literally says "the referee may not change a restart decision on realizing it is incorrect or on the advice of another match official once play has restarted." The moment Spurs played the IFK they were theoretically ****ed.
I think they had a second, maybe 2 where they could have gotten away with it, juts like we fix it when the wrong team throws it in. But its got to be really fast. And someone here tried to do that but it took too long.
And oh by the way If they try that and give the goal, I guarantee Spurs are going bonkers precisely because play had restarted.
