I think it makes sense to keep him through Liverpool. If he wins that somehow and Bournemouth, he would be roughly mid-table and you could see if he can do something after the break. If not, you can get a new guy with the break and use the break to reset.

But man, remember how everyone thought he was going to be the guy that changed the opinion on Americans after the Chelsea win? So much for that…

Well he's probably going to lose to Liverpool. I'm just saying, if he somehow beats Liverpool, you can't fire him then, unless he loses to Bournemouth.

If Leeds beat Liverpool though… man, the heat would be on high at Anfield.

I have no idea if that source is reputable but giving him one last chance against Liverpool isn't giving him one last chance. It's letting him lose to a team you're likely to lose to so that a new manager can start with a more manageable game.

Also...Sean Dyche? You think Leeds fans, who are still obsessed with Bielsa and his style of play are going to tolerate Sean Dyche? You hire him, you're effectively severely kneecapping your ceiling in order to try and raise your floor. Maybe good in the immediate short term but horrible for anything beyond this season.

Villa hired Unai Emery as their manager. Struggled at Arsenal but still a good get for Villa and their wishes to establish themselves in that next group behind the top 6/7.

If that's the bar then lots of teams are going to fire their coaches. Fulham isn't going down this year. Hell they're in the top 1/2 of the table right now.

100% this. Talk about completely opposite tactical coaches. Leeds fans will not be happy with this. Dyche is a Championship level manager. Long balls and a parked bus are not tactics. It's like owning a Ferrari and hiring an 80-year old grandmother (or Jimbo) to be your driver.

Oh no doubt. It was a frenetic game and Leeds had legit chances. This wasn't a ridiculous result by any means.

My point if anything is that Leeds have had many results that were unlucky - where they played better but still lost… so it's fitting that it goes the other way when it purportedly mattered most.

Probably true. However, they also haven't had many transfer windows to buy all of the depth the other clubs have. Hell, I think over half of the starting line-up is guys that were on the squad before the takeover last year.

I'd expect them to be fairly busy in January and next summer to address that very issue.
