He basically assaulted 2 college football players during a game on live TV.

TAMU police removed the state trooper from the sideline.
The guy should be reprimanded or yes even fired.
He basically assaulted 2 college football players during a game on live TV.
He bumped both players, extended both elbows to purposely make contact. Good job by the SC players to just walked away .
In This day and age you can't do that , so even if he was to be fired it would be justified.
Either way guaranteed the state trooper is a jackass of epic proportions

They are lucky to be alive.

I heard he was removed from the game. I'm not sure what his beef was with #8 for SC.

I don't make the laws (or even agree with ) what defines assault, but I know what they are
DPS just "relieved" him of duties for optics. Nothing's going to happen to him, just can't have the perception of a cop seeming aggressive.TAMUallen said:
I didnt see a single thing bad. They ran into the tunnel and aren't permitted. Don't push it because you think you're beyond the law as an athlete

It is really sad to realize how many people in that profession just have massive insecurities.

It seems that this is the direction things are heading.

The refs should have penalized SC for that with a delay of game or unsportsmanlike conduct. Had it only been the one player going into the tunnel, I could maybe see the trooper being unreasonable by bumping into him. But there were multiple players.

They made room for him and he behaved like a petulant, power-mad child.

He's there for security. Refs should have called a penalty, because it is a penalty. Had they done their jobs and called it for what it was, no one would even be talking about the trooper removing a security breach.
I swear! Does no one remember how the NCAA rule book was rewritten because of the crap U of Miami pulled during their heyday? Catholics versus Convicts? But the turning point came when the Hurricanes absolutely demolished (with relish and delight an 200+ yards of penalties) in the Cotton Bowl. As usual, sips cried and whined about the Miami Meanie Poo-poo Heads, so the next year, the NCAA rule book read like a summary of Miami players doing their do the year before.
Miami players didn't care. Just came up with new intimidation moves. Back when football was football. I hated Miami but could not deny their teams back then were extremely talented and well-coached for the most part. Coaches had their backs, especially Jimmy Johnson. He was ride or die...until Jerry called.
