This is my point exactly. He wasn't there to prevent players from going into the tunnel. It's not his job. Just because there is an NCAA rule about excessive celebration, it's not his job to enforce it. People are on here are claiming it was his job to keep players out of the tunnel, though. If it was, then he should be reprimanded for doing a bad job and letting them in in the first place. If it's not his job, then he has no business going up to the players. Either way, the cop f'd up.

An example of a bully with a badge which was exposed on national TV. Absolutely no reason to do what he did in the manner he did.

I cannot believe there are people defending this officer. And AggieHawk even interjecting themselves into the discussion. The LEO left the field towards the players even though they were coming out; There was no reason for him to go past the players coming out. He made himself as wide as he could, including throwing elbows, when he should have been walking away.

I wonder if he pushes his way through Wal Mart costumers this way? Stadium crowds? School kids?

For all you who condone this LEO, how do you feel about him stopping your solo teenager driver on some dark Texas roadway?

Very few, if any, are defending this guy, but some of y'all are acting like he beat these kids up or something. Watch a slow motion version of the video, he doesn't even lean towards the player on his left, yet this is called some mighty violent throw of an elbow. I have accidentally run into people in a crowd harder than that, and I'd bet you all have too. You say "I'm sorry" and go about your day.

If he hadn't turned around and yelled at the other player(who he didn't even touch), no one would have thought anything about it.
