That trooper seemed to initiate contact and I can understand him losing the privilege to work the stadium.

Firing him seems like it would be an overreaction however, unless something inappropriate was said (and verified by 3rd party witnesses) that might warrant that level of punishment. But otherwise I would not expect him to get fired.

Ehh, it's still an authority and student athletes that end of the story. It's unacceptable, period. The dude limped up the tunnel after a long TD and his teammates picked him up. GTF out of here defending the trooper.

Add the magnifying glass of Twitter, he's cooked. He's been included in every highlight I've seen tonight. He's done. Find a new gig. I won't urge it, but I won't defend it. Piss poor decision.

I don't think that incident is worth firing over, but it is very concerning to have someone with that fragile of an ego out there "protecting" the public. What about all of the people that have had a run in with him without the cameras running? IMO it warrants a deeper investigation into his whole professional record, because potentially he just showed the world on live TV his real personality.

The players aren't completely without fault. That was the tunnel with the cannon that has a large sign saying not to enter for the safety of everyone. They had no reason to go in that tunnel.

Stop and let them walk around you then. Not only did he not lean to pass and let them pass, he squared up. You don't throw your arm out like that. He instigated the contact, with some college players, practically kids, on a sports field. That's not the behavior we want in someone who is supposed to uphold the law.

This. Just not seeing a "hard throw of an elbow" and didn't even touch the other guy. If anything it looks like he was trying to avoid the player on the right and ran into the one the left.
