And, it is going to be much better to be an Aggie football fan once the "dream team" has its final member. Sumlin, Chavis, and [Touchdown!]. What a team. Seriously, if Sumlin and the AD pull this off -- give them both a raise, add some more statues around Kyle Field when it is all over.
Steve Spurrier first year at South Carolina 2005.
Eric Hyman first year at South Carolina 2005.

Spurrier not a Hyman hire but they did work together for seven years...

Two friends Sumlin/Hyman recruiting HBC to join DC Chavis for what would have to be the most experienced OC/DC combo in the SEC

Let the young guys recruit and the older guys make the decisions.

That makes me happy in the pants, but no way it happens.

Heck, Spurrier could sit up in the box and have a snack and a drink. He might be swayed.

I don't have too much of a problem with Riley other than the sip game. He kept Perrine out of that game for some reason when he could have run it down their throats.

The other is that he's only in his first year at OU. Don't see him moving unless he has issues with Stoops.

Could we install a mini-golf course in the suites?

If it's spurrier, we'd need to have a new line of Aggie jorts. Maybe some special coach's jorts?

A smart hire would be Kevin Kelley- HC at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock. He's one of the top offensive minds in football on any level. He's the coach who never punts, always onside kicks, experimented with Rugby style laterals on any given downfield play, etc.

Spurrier - Too old.
Mangino - No thanks.
Mazzone - Anything is better than Spav at this point.
Beaty - Probably wants to come back after seeing what he has to work with.

Maybe someone who coached, or even played, under Spurrier?

The yellow brick road leads to the Emerald City. Seattle is also known as the Emerald City. We must be getting someone from UW or the Seahawks.

Hue Jackson coached under Spurrier, but don't know why he would come here.

wuerfel?

i dont think he's ready to give up a shot at playing NFL but i think tebow may make one helluva coach. but i'd rather not be his first effort.

The wizard is in the emerald city...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Crowton

He was nicknamed "The Wizard" by the LSU players, after completing 39 games with an accomplishment of at least 30 points within 25 games and a 2510 overall mark.[3]

From my friends in low places.

-Sumlin isn't going any place. He is the key to A&M's future. No one at any level is talking about Sumlin being on the hot seat.

-Things are still moving forward with the new OC. Two obstacles are now out of the way. Just a few other things to work through. There is one (and only one) candidate at this point in time, and things are looking HUGE.

Reminder: we are playing in the best division of the best conference in the country. It's not like we have been shut-out 24-0 by an Iowa State team from a weak conference or something. But, the recognition is that to WIN the SEC West and move on to the SEC Championship game and the playoffs -- something HUGE has to happen.

HUGE - Mangino
Yellow Brick Road = Dorothy back to Kansas
Kansas - Mangino coached at Kansas

Mangino it is

Nope. His "tree" is more on the defensive side, since Spurrier called his own plays most of the time.

Spurrier is younger than Synder. Plus, there's more pressure with being a head coach than being an offensive coordinator. It's likely why he resigned from SC.
