I remember not too long ago Chad Morris was at Clemson making 1 million per year and he did really well there before going to SMU. Philip Montgomery brings the type of offense we need. A vertical attack and attract taller stronger QBs and Track Stars at the WR position with great play calling.

Is Mangino really that great of an OC? I honestly know very little about him besides he vastly underachieved as a HC. Why would he be great?

Seriously? He was the OC for Oklahoma in 2000 when they won the NC. He turned a doormat Kansas team into a top 10 ranked team as a HC. He wasn't fired for underachieving. He was fired because some of his players complained about crab walking on hot turf in the wake of Leach's firing.

He took freaking KU to an Orange Bowl win, 12-1 record, and #8 finish. (They were ranked #2 at one point and an MNC contender until losing to Mizzou.) Since firing him for being an a-hole to players (and everyone, really) they're on their 3rd new coach (plus an interim), and those coaches have combined to go 11-55.

I wouldn't call doing what he did at KU underachieving -- it's borderline miraculous! He did have some not-so-great years there, but even going 5-7 at KU is a lot better than they've done since him!

He was also the OC under Stoops at OU when they won their MNC in 2000.

I'm not saying he would be the right fit for us, but he is a pretty good OC.

Underachieved...he won a freaking BCS bowl game with Kansas for god's sake. Let that sink in

The only thing more improbable he could have done would have been to win one with A&M
