I move for the Board of Regents to empower agswin2001 to make all necessary negotiations and decisions related to Waffle House expansion in B/CS.

Unforunately, the Waffle House that was on University Drive in the 80s and 90's went out of business... if I were in corporate, I'd be hesitant.

But this is still pretty funny.

It is about time someone does something about this.

what was the population of cs in the 80's? You would think a 24 hour eggs and hash place will kill it around here.

I thought that place was a Kettle restaurant not a Waffle House?

Its for reasons like this that I joined texags.

I'm getting ready to drive by a Waffle House on my way to downtown Charleston. I'd offer to send a care package to TX, but the hash browns would probably be all gross by the time it arrived.

if there is one thing texags has taught us its that complaining about seemingly impossible things will bring them to fruition.

The Kettle was around in the early 2000s. He must be talking about something else...

Does CS have a Cracker Barrel? That is a SEC necessity.

Okay, I'm calling them back and trying to reach the marketing department to see if they would at least for now, invest in some advertisements on TexAgs so we can print a TexAgs-only coupon for discounts... will keep you updated as I learn more. It won't do us much good here in B/CS, but the remote Ags will benefit, then we can take our coupons to the SEC and get discounts at all the other schools we beat the hell out of!

I'm in Conroe. Should I find the Conroe franchise owner and tell him to lobby to open another in B/CS?

Hell yes! Our lack of a Waffle House is the last thing keeping us from an SEC invite!

Well, now I'm questioning my memory. Kettle is ringing a bell... but I also could swear I remember that the "W" was always burned out and we called it "affle (awful) House.."

I think it's grown in popularity

On our drive from Bryan to Tallahassee for the Super Regional, I counted 60+ Waffle Houses on I-10 between Lake Charles and Tallahassee.

When we join the SEC, we need one.

How can that liberal bastion called austin have a Waffle House (290, 1 mi from hwy183 intersection)
and a fine conservative SEC town such as Bryan/College Station does not???

kettle is a poor mans ihop which is worse than waffle house.

If you are a college sports fan, then you will know that we have told the Big 12 conference that we plan to leave that conference at the end of June 2012. The rumors are that we will join the Southeastern Conference. We are waiting for an invitation, and for all of us who are big Aggie fans, the wait has taken an eternity.

I drove to Tallahassee, FL in June. By the time I got to the Mississippi border, I realized that there was a Waffle House every two or three miles. We don't have a Waffle House in Bryan/College Station. I have become convinced that the SEC is waiting until we have secured a Waffle House to invite us into their conference. I therefore request that a Waffle House be built in Bryan or College Station, TX.

I promise you that I am not someone who is going to go there once and not like it. I know firsthand that there is no better food on earth when it's 2 AM and your body is full of alcohol. Heck, it's great sober too.

Please, please, please build a Waffle House in Bryan/College Station! It will improve the lives of thousands of Aggie sports fans.
