My contribution
quote:
Dear WaffleMan,
I'm writing to seek your help in correcting a grave injustice. There is not a Waffle House in College Station, Texas, and this, sir, is a tragedy.
I can't begin to tell you the profits that would be poured on your company if a franchise were to be opened on the "Northgate" side of campus, where syrup would be poured 24 hours a day to eager patrons, both those starting out their day with a healthy appetite for higher learning, as well as those ending a long night and left with only Whataburger or bad TexMex to sustain them. This would be a destination for families and study groups, athletes and geeks, for reliving glory days with former classmates or kindling new romances over bottomless cups of coffee. In short, it would be an institution, as timeless and classic as Texas A&M University, itself.
I hope that you will see this done without further incentive. However, I am willing to add a stick to the obvious carrots by vowing to withhold my business until a plan for expansion into the fertile bosom of the Brazos Valley are put in place. As an act of sacrifice, I will begin denying myself my customary trips to DFW Waffle House locations, numbering between 8 and 11 times a week, until progress is made.
I hope that this appeal, and others like it, will stir your heart into action. God bless you for the work that you do.
